Ron Rivera now reportedly the leading candidate for the HC job

plenty of people have made lateral moves.

off the top of my head Marvin Lewis went from DC of Baltimore to DC of Washington. they just have to have clearance.

Yeah, I realize that. I admit I was wrong when I unequivocally said a coach cannot make a lateral move. But I still stand by the fact that the coaching "staff" put together by CarolinaPanthers8789 is pretty much 100% unrealistic because at least half of those moves would be swiftly blocked by the their current team.

Oh lord no

I'd take Ramsdell or Joiner though.

I'm onboard for that.

McDaniels...terrible HC....very good OC

Broncos 2009: 20th in points scored in the NFL.

Broncos 2010: 19th in points scored in the NFL

No actually he sucks.

The Patriot offense dominated before, during and after McDaniels was gone so don't even go there.

Fired in a year and a half without Daddy Bill to hold his hand.

How this guy got a HC job 8 years removed from bringing Belichek his morning coffee is a mystery.

Patriots 2009: 6th in Points scored in the NFL.

Patriots 2010: 1st in Points scored in the NFL.

Last 4 years with McD: Pats were 10, 7, 1 and 8. So I don't see the peak.

Compare this Pat's offense against the other "1", and see who stacks up better. Then report back with your findings, corporal.

I shall then take your "McDaniels sucks" theory as a possibility if this years is better.

However, with this in mind...Cam Cameron is one of the best in the game, and his team went 1-15.

HC'ing and OC'ing are incredibly different.

Yeah maybe if San Diego had made it to the playoffs and maybe if Chicago and Philadelphia advance past the first round of the playoff's.

My point is McDaniels was Belicheks puppet. Anywhere in any capacity McDaniels is hired Belichek won't be their pulling the strings.

Looking at the numbers your prob right but to be fair he did have Kyle Orton under center.

he would be a very good choice with the right OC

Yep! As long as he can pull in someone who has a good reputation with QBs (*cough* Ramsdell), we could have a pretty strong coaching staff.

We'll basically be poaching all the coaches from San Diego that make Turner look better than he really is :)

    • I am not sure it should be a ‘sell out to go to the SB’ season. And hope they don’t.  At the same time I was thinking you absolutely must find out if you want to pay for Bryce or not. That means putting it on him. No protecting and trying to hide weaknesses with the run game and a super conservative calls.  So I wish they would do it and find out, win or lose, 2026. No more developing. Time to do it. Let’s see once and for all.
    • My biggest fear with Bryce Young is that he will always do just enough to stick around. He shows flashes and then drops a turd so the hopium is always there. Like his career highlight reel if you cut it up to some hype music and did a YouTube video would actually be quite good. His great plays really, really look good. But after that video you look at his yearly averages for completion percentage, yardage, touchdowns, and virtually every other metric and it is meh as fug. Like you know Bryce is gonna be 13/23 for 157 yards a touchdown and probably a pick.  I will 100% give him his flowers for his athleticism and ability to scramble outside the pocket. I haven’t seen the mythical “super processing ability” he was touted for per se, but he has shown flashes of absolutely elite awareness when it comes to scrambling. The little basketball move he does to shake defensive linemen has almost become a signature move. It’s hard to explain but you know it when you see it he stops on a dime and pivots like he is gonna hit a step back jumper and it has gotten him out of a lot of trouble.  I sincerely, truly, as a vocal Bryce HATER, hope that since we are obviously running with him next year the coaching staff actually tailors plays around his strengths. He needs to be in a pure spread IMO. His size is much less of a hindrance when he can play QB in open space. I feel like most of his highlight reel is from scrambles and play action/bootlegs.
