Yep, he will be it. I have been leaning towards him for a while. Think about it he has been on what like a billion HC interviews over the year. Even he says he doesn't get exited anymore for the interviews becasue he doesn't want to give his hopes up but all he knows is he wants to be a head coach. He will be humble, he will be a yes man, he will do pretty much anything to get the chance. JR's perfect candidate. Frankly I am not surprised or disappointed and am more interested in the other positions.

Fiz when you say bad interviews do you have links to articles or something, I also wondered why he has been interviewed so many times and never taken.

I think Josh McDaniels is prob the best FA assistant coach out there imo.

Would be amazing. Get a good QB coach then draft Newton...then I really think we would be an annual playoff contender. Too bad we're stuck in the best division in football.

Who needs 2nd interviews anyway, hire him before they get back to Charlotte. HIRE HIM NOW.

I know my best friend growing up will be ecstatic, him and his dad are Bears fans first and Panthers fans 2nd, and he had a pic he took with Rivera in Chicago when he was little. They love Rivera.

I'm anxious to see Newton play on the big stage Monday. If he lights it up I believe I will be right there with you. I'm ready for some excitement from this team on Sundays.

      Im not firm on many things football, but this statement or belief or strategy I am 100% for. Full Offseason the goal is to make the playoffs. Week 1, 1000% I want to win. Weeks 2-10,  1000% I want to win. Until the math stats 0.000000000% chance at NO playoffs, I want to win. *Once* there's no chance at the playoffs, I want to 100% lose every game until the end. You are still loser at 2-15 or 5-12, I want to never lose like this again. I want the best value for losing and suffering. Again the only goal is playoffs. Once in the playoffs anything can happen, I want to win the whole dam show. If you happen to lose in the first round, that's perfectly fine and lets work hard this upcoming off-season to get another chance to make them.  This is the ONLY way to play in the NFL. Anyone not understanding this method of strategy, please call your doctor for a visit...

      Purdy's good but at the end of the day you're paying first class money for a business class seat.  It's a big problem with the salary cap.  QBs take most of it whether they are Pat Mahomes or not.

      Purdy saved the 49ers from that three 1st picks for Trey Lance. People forget that. People also forget he should have MVP votes for the 23 season. He's been any where from the 8th(his best/23) to 14th ranked QB, he's legit and guys around top 10 get paid as QBs.....guys in 28th get paid too, he's 4x the QB Trevor Lawrence is and better than BY by miles as well...even without CMC, Samuel(whos a RB playing WE), and half the OL.    *BUT*    You non-believers missed this ultra important mistake that honestly made me reconsider all the praise I gave him. https://www.si.com/nfl/49ers/news/49ers-qb-brock-purdy-throws-blind-40-percent   That's is damming to my case and reset my thinking of his.
