Cam Newton Public Workout

Someone asked me to break down that one play so I did. I included a video to further my analysis. I will not break down the whole season for you because you are not worth it and you have yet to dispute my original post. Stop asking for it until you do a play by play rebuttal of the original one, then I will gladly do the season or any game you want.

As I said before, it would be a waste of time. Because everything I would say, you'd just rebuttal anyhow.

Honestly, I don't think you don't want to breakdown the SEC game on your own, because you know your entire take on the kid would be shot down.

KT, in Mr Scot's defense I have never seen him mention anything to do with race in any of his assessments. Most websites don't have Newton as the #1 QB much less the #1 overall pick across all positions. It should not be a shock that huddle members don't want him at #1. I think you would find many wanting him if we trade down to the mid first.

In my opinion the constant baseless accusations on here dilute the race issue and makes the rest of us want to ignore all issues even when they may have validity, just because we are tired of hearing it.

And once again the voice of reason Scot is in a black qb thread telling us how extreme it is to believe in ones ability. Scot is all for personal attacks and character assasinating black qbs and their families. Hell never protest that. Only protest against racist bigoted whites being called racist

That offends him more. But this is the same guy who wants us to watch what say about panther employees because they are human and have families. Lol. If only he extended that courtesy to black children

I've never seen someone character assassinate someone more than yourself, then hypocritically turn around and falsely accuse someone else of the exact same thing...

Oregon also had a month to study Cam and find a way to slow him down, plus he hurt his back in that game... how often is that going to happen in the NFL?

Also, it's not Cam's fault that he wasn't required to make the same kind of reads that he will in the NFL. The only way to fix that is hard work, and there is absolutley no evidence that Cam is not willing to put that work in.

That's the thing. You are right, it might not be his fault, but he simply doesn't ever go past his first read. That is why there are questions, as there is no proof that he can do it, only proof that he hasn't done it.

I've stated multiple times that making a determination on one game is useless and holds no merit. I've watched many of his games and my conclusion hasn't changed.

I'm not the one who is missing it when it comes to him, you aren't seeing what everyone else does

OK it's getting ugly now so I'll just leave it at this. Cam's stock will keep rising and there is probably a better chance of us drafting him than some think, whether the Panthers are able to trade down or not. And whatever your opinion of the kid, you simply can't ignore his potential.

what I don't get is that it's Mallett that is the one who is being majorly hit about his character in the national media, blogs, etc. I mean, there are a ton of people who are convinced Mallett is addicted to coke ffs... so it's not like Newton is the only college QB this year to be under scrutiny and imo the stuff people are saying about Mallett is way worse.

This.

Add in that Locker is the one who is being completely dismissed because of his accuracy.

Newton has had concerns on both and yet no one is focusing on them. I can't see how the media are down on Newton, otherwise they would have gone to town.

Maybe just maybe these analysts are just calling it as it is.

    • gosh no one cares about the OGs...   Id list hunt here too, if not for missing 95% of the season.   Best I can say, Tri Turner was the best OG in panthers history if you factor in career length. Wharton was super solid, but never elite. Norwell while having a 1st all-pro, only played 2.5 starting years.    If lewis stays on the panthers and keeps his play lvl at 2025, his path is right there and easy. In 2028 he could be the best OG in panthers history.    Dang if panthers or NFL don't have long great careers.....its sooo rare.
    • All true, Stafford and Mccvay were both talking about "retiring" during those future picks too, I member. In my computer when you make future trade, I feel you have to factor in the worst case or close to it from your side. The big issue for the panthers, maybe even now is that they have not proven they can draft well enough to trade. I know that Dan and company have not traded future picks and they seem to always want 7-8 picks overall. They like to trade 3 picks for 3 picks or 2 for 2.   It would have been great to flip BB for that haul and use those Rams picks instead of the first overall pick...... Verse wise, Jesus what a beast....... Garrett is the top dawg and all, but man this is rough for me. I also noticed this about the panthers they are pedo bears, they like dem young. So a 25 year old verse would have gotten gigged with the panthers. Even with NIL and 6th year, and even coofus fallback, panthers prefer younger players. Monroe Freeling (Round 1, Pick 19 | OT, Georgia): 21 years old Lee Hunter (Round 2, Pick 49 | DT, Texas Tech): 22 years old (estimated) Chris Brazzell II (Round 3, Pick 83 | WR, Tennessee): 22 years old Will Lee III (Round 4, Pick 129 | CB, Texas A&M): 21-22 years old (estimated) Sam Hecht (Round 5, Pick 144 | C, Kansas State): 21-22 years old (estimated) Zakee Wheatley (Round 5, Pick 151 | S, Penn State): 22 years old (estimated) Jackson Kuwatch (Round 7, Pick 227 | LB, Miami OH): 22-23 years old   Tetairoa McMillan, WR (Arizona) — Age: 22 Nic Scourton, EDGE (Texas A&M) — Age: 20 Princely Umanmielen, EDGE (Ole Miss) — Age: 21 Trevor Etienne, RB (Georgia) — Age: 20 Lathan Ransom, SAF (Ohio State) — Age: 23 Cam Jackson, DT (FL)- age 22 Mitchell Evans, TE (ND)- age 22 Horn-22   Fitterererere just turned out to be a awful hire, too green, too willing to please, no sense of what talent looks like on teams other than Seahawks, too much pressure, didnt have the correct network of coaches and FO office people. Kick was herniay leftd him with a bare bones talent to start with and besides taking a bottom level team and improving it, he made it even worse AND trading prime draft picks to prolong the timeline to fix. People forget Dan didn't have the 1st overall pick and 39th overall(that dude looking good for bears) to repair this team. Dan could have traded that 1st overall for a proven 1k WR, 9th overall, future 1st and future 2nd......
    • When I read the OP I was thinking more of the Franchise than the league but I agree.  To me DB is the only guy right now but I could see TMac being on the list.
