NFLPA says Panthers have 4th best grass playing field

They should be proud of it now, I can't remember the year, but we had a terrible field. The grass would come up and I remember some games where the players where worried about hurting themselves by playing on our field.

Really? I've never heard this before.

I've always, without fail, heard that teams like to play on our field and they always make comments about how nice our stadium is.

I think it was around the 2001 or 2000 season if I remember correct. The field just kept getting torn up.

the field was so bad that it caused dan morgan to break his leg. we all know he was made of glass, but i think that was his 1st major injury.

If it's true, maybe when the field was first put into place and the grass needed some time to gain traction - would make the most sense because like everyone else said, we are always ranked high.

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
