bad performance indeed.

Oh well, it's just ONE game, ....

.....

....right?

But you seem to get some extra zeal from it. I agree that Jake is an average at best QB, but it's who we got and it's not gonna change this year, period. Might as well support him rather than tear him down because nothing you can do will change it, nothing... ;)

Yea maybe you're right. Maybe I should not be honest about my opinion and instead go about this whole thing a liar or excuse maker.

Were you saying this when Colbert was still on our team? Or any other player that sucked yet Fox kept for a little too long?

If a player sucks, he deserves to be called out for it. Nothing we say will be heard by management, but this is a message board.

I would love to beat Jake and the motherf*cker who made this video with a pair of brass knuckles. I wouldn't do that really but damn that period... O.K. we lose you might throw 3 INT's , but six... man fug you... Jake Delhomme has alot to prove to the loyal fans and himself after a performance like that. If he has an average season next year the organization should let the fans........ I don't even want to write it, just get the f*ck out town, take his ass back to Louisiana don't ever come back to North Carolina or South Carolina. We want a superbowl championship and nothing else less than that...

Yes, I will admit it, I defended Colbert for a couple of years. But I turned on him like everybody else when he showed that he was only a training camp god. I don't mind people being critical against any player and nothing against Raging Bull, but he has made a hobby of subtle backstabbing lately and I wanted to point that out. Again, nothing against him. It's just that Delhomme is going to be here next year regardless of what you, I or the sectional sofa want. Colbert was always an option, we could have gotten other receivers whether we did or not, (and not pretty much covers it). At QB next year, we don't even have that choice...

I know this is a message board, but that doesn't give you free reign to bash without being called on it, (me either). Your opinion is not any more credible than mine, nor mine yours...

Instead of throwing the defense or someone else under the bus as many other players would, he did what he always does. He took full responsibility and put it all on his shoulders, Sure he sucked that day and it was a terrible game to watch. Trust me I was there and watched all the painful minutes.

Face it folks, nothing he can say is good enough or will change last year. And nothing he did last year has any bearing on the future.

As for the video, it appears to appeal to the most juvenile of us as evidenced by the chipmunks singing back-up. No wonder many of you enjoyed it.

After last season when Jake messed up his elbow, the trainers must have knocked something out of place, like maybe his "bad game receptor". It clearly was set so that whenever playoff time came around he would have a bad game instead of having it during the regular season.

    • Bruce Arians said when evaluating a college prospect they have to win on 3rd down and in the 2 min drill to be successful in the nfl.
    • We took Luke when we had Jon Beason, and a hurt Jonathon Brooks when we had Chuba. Just noting.  I don't think teams are going to pass up on an impact player regardlessly if whether they need something else. There's a good argument that drafting an inferior player, and especially an obviously inferior player, based upon need is a pathway to failure.  I'm glad we took Tetairoa McMillan even though there were arguably bigger needs.
    • As much as I'd love Cam or Mahomes I'd also settle for a QB that is at least better than average at something other than 4th quarter comebacks/game winning drives. He's literally bottom third in the league in most categories (yards, completion percentage, int percentage/turnovers, YPA, IAYPA, QBR and QB rating) and right around average in a couple others, notably TD % where he is 15th and YAC/PA where he is 9th. If Bryce can improve I'll be happy with him. But all this stuff about us asking for perfection / insane ability is a bit ridiculous. Most of us "haters" just see a QB that is basically below average over his career to date and has shown relatively little consistency in his third year.  NFL offenses don't need 400 yards every week at all, but they do require a QB that can move the ball, and Bryce struggles often with that (hence why our overall offensive rank is so bad despite an overall good rushing rank).
