He has a long way to go to get to the level of Romanowski, Burfict, Suh, Incognito, Collins, Caruth, Hernandez. He isnt an NFL QB but I dont think he is a bad person -

I don't know if I would say the media is against Young. They know that a good story with a redemption arc and a positive outcome equals dollars. What I think has changed is perhaps there is no longer that feeling that another bad organization has ruined another young player by being a bad organization. Additionally, there was a tiny little bit of perceived unfairness in his benching. "They didn't even really give him a chance, and what do you know, they benched him for an old white player too." To that end, the Panthers have gone above and beyond giving Young the opportunity for success.
