Current Roster:

G - LaMelo Ball, Collin Sexton, K.J. Simpson (two-way)

G - Kon Knueppel, Pat Connaughton, Liam McNeeley, Nick Smith, DaQuan Jeffries (non-guaranteed), Damion Baugh (two-way)

F - Brandon Miller, Josh Green, Josh Okogie (non-guaranteed), Sion James

F - Miles Bridges, Grant Williams, Tidjane Salaun

C - Moussa Diabate (non-guaranteed), Ryan Kalkbrenner, Mason Plumlee

Simpson and James most likely project as our two way guys and it’s unlikely Jeffries or Baugh make the roster.

That puts the Hornets at a roster of 15 but they can open up another spot by waiving Okogie.

Tre Mann back on a 3 year deal

Damn, that’s legit.  Last I saw, we were letting him test FA after acquiring Sexton.  I didn’t think they were even gonna attempt to bring him back.  Love that as long as he can keep his back in good shape.  I have degenerative discs, so it can be a task…. Love the move though.

and although I joke about the lighter complexion of our recent pickups, the I’m legit kind of excited about the UConn kid.

I really thought we were gonna get Ayton.  That center position is vomit-worthy right now.  The Williams and Nurkic trades make zero sense without some big move to follow.

No disagreement about the state of the center position but Nurkic had no future here and Mark had one foot out the door before we tried and failed to trade him the first time. After he was basically a shell. And let's be honest. Even before the failed trade Mark was simply not motivated to get out onto the basketball court. We can blame the Hornets for plenty of mismanagement over the years but Mark Williams failure here is ultimately on him.

While Ayton is talented and still relatively young if the word from Portland is true he was basically a more outwardly toxic version of Mark Williams. I mean does that sound like a good addition to our team that is trying to instill a better culture? The Lakers are going to find out for themselves. Let them be the guinea pig.

I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team.

(2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way)

(3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton

(3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way)

(3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun

(3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
