Trgo admits he wasn't comfy in Carolina

it's funny how offensive head coaches who call their own plays and gameplan aren't considered meddlers.

And the fact is that far, far more offensive HCs call the plays on offense on gameday than defensive HCs call the defenses on gameday. In fact, I can't think of one defensive HC who calls plays on gameday. The only example I can come up with is when Wade Phillips supposedly/reportedly took over playcalling on D in Dallas this past year.

That said, whatever primary background the HC is, I usually hold them more responsible for the performance on that side of the ball than I do for the other side.

When a guy willingly steps back into being a position coach though they are offered a contract as a DC, you have to wonder about their ability to handle pressure and to run a defense. I don't like the fact that he made public that he pretty much agreed with his wife's comment about working for a defensive HC vs an offensive HC if I am a potential future employer, that's for sure.

Funny how everyone wanted Trgo gone but now point the finger at Fox cause he left.

People are looking at how he WAS offered a contract but turned it down.

If people think that Turd was a bad d/c, but then the Panthers were trying to extend him, then naturally wouldn't they have an issue with that even if he is gone?

It really is as simple as that, folks.

IMO Trgo appeared to be overwhelmed at times this year and last. I'd see shots of him on the sidelines, and he'd look totally lost (the Arizona game was a case in point). I always wondered whether being a DC was over his head when Fox first hired him to take over for JDR. Maybe the demands just got to be too much over time.
