No LaMelo Ball no Brandon Miller tonight.

Probably going to get pretty ugly in Atlanta.

Can we trade Lemoñjello and Miles and hope we can hit on a draft pick or two? We're never winning with Ball because he doesn't actually give a fug about playing basketball

Kon was great again tonight against ATL, but of course, with the game on the line at the end, the ball ends up in Miles' hands and he air balls a fadeaway three that never had a chance.  It's so hard being a Hornets fan.  I'm over Miles and Melo at this point, give me an enforcer down low that can stop teams from killing us with layups, and get me a durable point guard who can feed Kon and Brandon and let's fuging go.

"Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball is reportedly frustrated by the team’s lack of forward progress, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer."

Apparently in his mind being perpetually injured and playing less than Gordon Hayward while on a supermax contract has no effect on the forward progress of the franchise.

I think he is denying these takes, at least the ones about him wanting out of Charlotte, but you’re right - if anything he should be frustrated at his glass ankles just like the rest of the fanbase is.

the best ability is availability and he doesn’t have it. I’m over it man.

I don't think the Clippers have anything to make a trade work on their own, but LaMelo to LA would be nice for all parties involved.

I still think the answer is getting Brooklyn to bite. Nic Claxton and filler for LaMelo. Nets get a "star", Hornets get a good big man and something else...as well as off the contract.

The Nets will likely try and flip MPJ at some point, who I wouldn't want, but a nice 3 team trade could help everyone solve some problems.

LaMelo to Brooklyn, Nic Claxton and Kuminga to Charlotte, MPJ to GSW...toss in filler wherever.

    • Coker has certainly earned it. Good for him.
    • I don't think we don't call things aggressively, for a Canales offense, anyway. We don't have a QB who makes aggressive throws nor stresses defenses downfield. He is at a career low on 20+ attempts per game and his career 10-20 QB rating is abysmal.  That will always be a limiting factor IF you are looking for a high flying, downfield offense. I am not even that concerned about it, I just want to see effective offense and we decidedly do not possess that. A large chunk of that is Bryce. I think the second biggest chunk is Canales. All the other components(XL included) are fairly minor in comparison to those two things. I am an advocate of attempting to improve at QB. I am not focused on finding "The QB." We failed at that with Bryce. So let's just get better. If that's a one year vet or a draftee or a cheap trade or some combination of any/all, we should do that. We have to get that QB better. Bryce will fail in 2026 and we need to have REALISTIC options to take over when that happens. That ain't Andy Dalton or Hendon Hooker or Jack Plummer or Mike White or....you get the picture. Be serious about hedging that Bryce bet and not just having to make do if he struggles or gets injured.  My mind is definitely made up on Canales. It's year two and he hasn't improved much, nor do I think the bones of a good HC are there. Ron Rivera got to that point after two seasons and he was open about the changes he had to make and advice he got to make that leap in year 3. If we don't see the same after next year, how is he not just Brian Daboll?
    • Not really buying it because T-mac faces stiffer competition week in and week out.
