Coincidentally I've had people tell me him looking good in a joint practice is more important than preseason.

So maybe you guys who are so eager to be sycophants should pick a position.

I think you are just being an old man yelling at the sky. I don't give a fug about joint practices either. Lace em up and that's when it counts. Not fuging practices.

Also to be abundantly clear. There is a ton of regular season game tape of Bryce Young looking just as flustered and skittish as the way he did in preseason against the Texans so if your position is it's irrelevant well that's too bad because sorry the word is already out to every defense we'll face.

Yeah and very little of it was down the stretch last season. That's literally what the ACTUAL SEASON is supposed to solve for us. Was Bryce 1.0 or Bryce 2.0 the aberration?

There is no point in getting your panties in a wad about the preseason. We got a few days before we get to see the real thing and start finding out.

No one has said joint practice is more important. I’ve said coaches are using joint practices to get their starters reps and giving them less reps on the preseason games because of this. They are both just a tool for the staff to shape their depth chart and brush off some of the offseason rust.

'Panties in a wad' is the most current form of the previous 'panties in a bunch' or 'panties in a twist'.  If one were to classify 'wad' as V3.0, which of 'bunch' and 'twist' would be V1.0 and V2.0?  Anyone old enough to remember and admit it?

      I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.

      We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
