Did he have more talent though? Nick Fairley was the only other guy drafted from that team

What?  No he wasn’t Greg Robinson was also drafted, an OT.  Cam, Nick and Greg were the only FIRST ROUNDERS, not the only ones drafted.   Cam had more talent around him than a lot of people want to remember.

Greg Robinson was redshirted in 2011. He never played with Cam. Cams LT at Auburn was Lee Ziemba who we drafted with a late 7th round comp pick. He spent a year on IR with us and then a year on the Colts' PS and that was it for him in the NFL. He never made an active roster.

Lee Ziemba was Cam’s LT. I think we drafted him in the 7th or maybe he was a undrafted rookie we signed. Regardless he didn’t make it very long in the NFL.

Point still stands, they were not the only ones to get drafted.  Tell me which O-line player from SC you think will get drafted?

So, to just be clear, Carson Beck has engineered a 13-0 lead over a team that has less than 40 yards of offense.

For those that might still be keeping him in the first two days of the 2026 Draft.

Not sure what his problem is tonight, the rain?  He is throwing very low or to high all night so far

South Carolina was a borderline top 10 preseason team. They were expected to be plenty good. Auburn was a preseason unranked team. Cam got some guys like Lee Ziemba a cup of coffee in the NFL they otherwise wouldn't have gotten. Don't let that lead you to believe he was surrounded by great talent.

I never said great talent, I said he had more talent than people want to remember and certainly more than Sellers has

    • You're equating wins with evolving, but It's a little more complex than that. This will be the new managment's third season. It will also be the third season where the Teppers have taken a step back. If you think that the only way to measure improvements due to seeming changes for the better is wins and losses after only two years--one being a playoff berth, "limping" in there or not, then perhaps you're being more emotional. By most analysts' measure, Dan Morgan has the Panthers moving in the right direction. He can only get us to where we need to be with the blessing and cooperation from the owners. He has said several times now, that they are easy to work with. Rhule, Reich and Fitterer did not say that. In fact, you could literally see the pressure put upon them by their countenance.  Bottom line: it has been reported that they have changed and everything that we've seen (and not seen) is indicative of that belief. We were a playoff team, and we had a good showing. With the moves that have been made this offseason, and last offseason to be honest, NFL types are expecting the Panthers to compete for the division the upcoming season, and that's even before the draft. This is all with a QB that is still a question mark.  Rome wasn't built in a day. David Tepper has seemed to internalize that, and now many fans need to appreciate the same. It could be argued that we didn't have any business winning the games we did in '24 or '25, much less make the playoffs this past season. A positive transition appears to be afoot. We are close to becoming a perennial contender, and that's thanks to a developing culture change that is being allowed to happen. This was not the case when the Teppers, particularly David, were fumbling around trying to figure out how to run an NFL franchise.
    • Dude is a beast on ST. I like the emphasis on special teams with him and Simmons.
    • Yeah looks good on paper, but the proof is in the pudding
