side question does anyone here find Shane gillis funny?

I've been confused and maybe my funny bone is broken.

He's for probably a mid 30s crowd (myself). He is exactly like me and all the guys were going thru high school in the early 2000s. I'm a fan of his standup, saw him in PHX a month ago with some buddies

I've never seen his act, but a few times while in media feed he's came up and I swear nothing funny was done.

It maybe me, I just didn't know honestly. He sorta jumped on a rocket and "everywhere".  I do have different taste, more old school for sure...

So you are basing him not being funny on never having seen his stand up?

So....essentially nothing?

Just now, Moonraker said:

I was out and missed the first half of the game but are the refs just refusing to throw the laundry?

They're giving the week 18 Bucs refs a run for their money for most bullshit in the state of Florida, January 2026 edition.

If you are ever bored...just watch "Shane Gillis Austin Standup" it's from a few years ago and the full set is on YouTube. It's his best one, in my eyes.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
