Parsons is 26 Derrick Brown is 27. Neither of them are that young. But they are both in their prime no doubt.

If we didn't pass on him and Parsons were already here we could be having a different conversation or we could be having the same conversation as the Cowboys. It's all speculation. But we had our chance if we wanted him.

Different time, different place. Every draft has its own dynamics, you know that. Moreover, picking an inexperienced rookie and arguably the best pass rusher in the game are two totally different things. 26 is young as hell. He's just entering his prime years. He hasn't even played five seasons.

I don't think there is a single GM in the NFL who wouldn't make that trade, if given the option.

DB is a very good player. Parsons is tracking towards a HOF career.

That's a wild speculation.  From what I have seen from our team, we avoid "me first" type players, and I am thankful for it.

Not every team will sign a Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham.

Come on now. Comparing him to AB or Odell is just not reality. I still don’t even know what these character concerns are people in this thread are referring to, nobody has actually given any examples or situations that happened

For reference, for the people who seem to not understand the context here, Panthers GOAT Julius Peppers was averaging 0.675 sacks/game through four seasons in his NFL career.

Parsons is averaging 0.833.

We had no problem with Peppers attitude until the end.  Cowboys fans themselves talk trash about Parsons.

You are going to find a way to discredit everything I say while ignoring the questions and evidence.  Not sure how we are supposed to have a conversation like this.

I'm not discounting anything, just stating the facts. No Cowboy, according to a Goog search, has ever publicly called Parsons selfish except Holley, and plenty of people in the know actually thought Holley was idiotic.

We all know that DB is not as outspoken, perhaps brash, or "diva-esque," but he's also not nearly as impactful of a player either.

You're basically saying that we shouldn't trade DB in this (purely hypothetical) trade scenario because he's a good choir boy. I don't agree. Parsons, for all his podcasting, is still arguably the most valuable defensive player in the game.

I did.  Former team mate said he was the most selfish player on the team.  Fans of the Cowboys say he is the biggest cry baby, refuses to play the run.  Their defense is "10 guys plus 11 doing whatever the F he wants."

Not many. Most Cowboys fans that I know, and I know a fair amount (unfortunately 😄), LOVE Parsons and thinks that he should be paid (just like his teammates do).

I am definitely in the "choir boy" team mentality.  I think locker room meshing is very important.  Having players that want to play for each other.  I just linked a post from Reddit where the Cowboys fans themselves discussed this.

Like I said, most won't speak out on something like this and expose themselves.  Would you talk trash about a co-worker if you knew HR was going to go right to them and immediately tell them verbatim what you said?

It really isn't. All of this "me first" stuff is complete nonsense.

I am not sure how much more the league has to show that elite pass rushers are premium positions, despite the cost of them being literally at top 15-20 QB pay levels.

Now, would roster dynamics and cap come into play? Absolutely. But if those are not on the table, I am very comfortable saying that there is not a single currently employed GM not pulling that trigger.

Holley was not his former teammate. Get it right.

Indeed. That trade is insane. They probably came up with it after looking at that Mingo deal, heh.

Dude a Reddit post? Really? By this metric I can go find every thread started on here by dumb fans about Cam.

btw the top comment on that post is someone saying he’s probably the best player on the team.

    • My projection. I think at WR its time to go with youth. This means Moore should be the odd man out. Horn can return both punts and kicks and Tremayne is a better WR than Moore. XL gets one more year to prove himself, although I could see a trade in the future which would mean Moore could stay. For OL, I would like us to bring back Brady if we can. The RBs, Trevor can return both punts and kicks too. With the uncertainty of Brooks and Dillon, its hard to choose either one. I think the team would like for Brooks to have a breakout season to clear any uncertainty that he deserves a spot. For now, I have them both even and on the team. DL looks solid as well as OLB. Watch out for the UDFA of Aaron Hall and Isaiah Smith at OLB. They look promising and could knock someone off the team. ILB is still the biggest weakness on the team. We need to upgrade that any means necessary. CB is strong and Im praying to all the Gods that Wheatley beats out Scott at FS.  OFFENSE: WR: Tetairoa McMillan - *Chris Brazzell II* - Brycen Tremayne TE: Tommy Tremble - James Mitchell LT: #Rasheed Walker# - *Monroe Freeling* LG: Damien Lewis C- #Luke Fortner# - *Sam Hecht* RG: Robert Hunt - #Saahdiq Charles# RT: Taylor Moton - #Stone Forsythe# TE: Ja`Tavion Sanders - Mitchell Evans WR: Xavier Legette - Jalen Coker - Jimmy Horn Jr. QB: Bryce Young - #Kenny Pickett# RB: Chuba Hubbard - Trevor Etienne - #AJ Dillon# - Jonathon Brooks DEFENSE: LE: Tershawn Wharton - Bobby Brown III  NT: *Lee Hunter* - Cam Jackson RE: Derrick Brown - LaBryan Ray LOLB: Nic Scourton - Patrick Jones II  LILB: Trevin Wallace - Bam Martin-Scott - *Jackson Kuwatch* RILB: #Devin Lloyd# - Claudin Cherrelus  ROLB: #Jaelen Phillips# - Princely Umanmielen LCB: Jaycee Horn - Akayleb Evans RCB: Mike Jackson - *Will Lee III* - Chau Smith-Wade SS: Tre`von Moehrig - Lathan Ransom FS:  Nick Scott - *Zakee Wheatley* - Demani Richardson  SPECIAL TEAMS: K/KO: Ryan Fitzgerald P/H: Sam Martin KR: Trevor Etienne - Jimmy Horn Jr. PR: Trevor Etienne - Jimmy Horn Jr. LS: J.J. • His contract is guaranteed.  Legette is just not where he needs to be mentally.  Not fully invested, it seems.
    • Literally like Hill. He's not QB1 material (now or ever), but if we can turn him into a H-back and use him like  Swiss army knife, that's his ticket to make the roster.  H-back/emergency QB.  I wonder how good his hands are?  If they are at least above average by NFL standards then we can line him up in the backfield, in the slot, split out wide and of course, in the Wildcat.
