Is this why we traded Thielen size can see Kegette drop more passes?

Brother Adam Thielen would have had passes sailing over his head or out of bounds too. In fact he probably would have pulled another hamstring trying to haul in one of those errant throws.

Talk poo about AT as much as you’d like but he 100% comes down with that Bryce underthrow to Hunter, puts 2 feet in bounds on the XL garbage route, and holds onto the big hit ball that Hunter dropped.

One of the worst WR's I've ever seen. I'd rather see Bryson Tremayne out there. XL is a liability on the field. From the way he carries himself, his intellect, lack of fluidity. 0 intangibles, non existent football iq, etc.. I could go on. You can just tell XL doesnt have it in him to be an NFL WR.  That 5th year Mickey Mouse season he had at SC really had our front office fooled. Our scouting department/gm are not worth taking seriously.

His intellect? I can see who lives in the city or suburbs just from these comments. A lot of prejudice is oozing through here with this idea that everyone from the country are a bunch of bumbling idiots.

As I learned from my boss who was recently fired, pretending you’re the smartest person in the room doesn’t make you the smartest person in the room. You’ve literally never met the guy, yet make presumptions based on select publications of him and what he does in the offseason.

the legend of AT grows!

Fun fact - 1 out of every 4 balls thrown to Adam Thielen by Bryce weren’t caught by him.   I would assume Bryce having the worst on target % in all the NFL is a key reason and putting folks in bad spots

He would have got the XL ball because it was just simple feet though. The Renfrow stuff is just making AT into a myth.

Guys it’s so much worse than I thought. Not only is he bad at catching and running routes, he isn’t even giving effort out there. It’s a slap in the face to the rest of the team if he starts next week.

Mark Schlereth or whatever was going off on him on the broadcast for that horrible display of effort. It really encapsulates our team in 1 play. I feel bad for dudes like DB, Chuba, Horn who actually go hard...just asking to get hurt playing with these bums

If he got hands on the ball it was caught. It was that simple with him.

He is literally good at nothing.

Fun fact, per NFL Next Gen Stats he had the third highest catch percentage for a WR among qualifying players in 2024 and was 5th in 2023.

You are starting to sound like a JT O'Sullivan sock account, brother.

Questioning AT's hands is a pretty odd hill to die on.

You'll get no argument out of me regarding your disappointment in Legette. But there's no need to be dishonest with one another about Thielen. And no matter what he said about Bryce publicly on his way out he made it crystal clear he wanted to play with a rookie QB in McCarthy very badly.

Yeah, but they weren’t.   That’s why I say the legend is growing.  Hunter’s weren’t drops.

AT wasn’t pulling a nighcrawler and morphing throwing a defender on the underthrow…..and getting smashed with a helmet on the ball before the ball could even be secured.  Like I said 1 out of 4 balls to AT weren’t a catch.   And hands touched those balls.  Some he didn’t touch.  Some were poo throws.  Into coverage.  And broken up.

this is low key being a Bryce apologist with this narrative and I can have no part in that

Brother you are not listening. Bryce threw a terrible under thrown ball that should’ve been a TD. I literally had a $1500 bet on Renfrow first TD scorer of the game. There is no Bryce apologist going on here, just AT hate. He catches both those balls, it’s just the truth.

No sir,  didn’t question his hands in a single post.  Ever.  And I knock AT a lot.  You won find a post on the huddle where I knock his hands.

What you just did was find a stat about Adam’s play.  Which is something totally different.

the stat I was referencing was Bryce throwing to AT and the end result of that.  Which is going to factor in more than AT’s play.  Bryce becomes factored.   His bad throws, balls, etc

AT isn’t morphing through a defender on an under-throw.  I’m sure you can find examples where he didn’t.  His hands aren’t so good he defeats an instant helmet on the ball before time to secure it.   I’m sure you can examples of where he didn’t do that either.

there is some Bryce apologizing going on because you are now painting a picture WRs let him down today.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
