Double trouble from now on

With Chuba and Dowdle they can pull it off. They can take the ball out of Bryce's hand and not have to rely on him to win. I hope Canales has the light bulb come on and see what he has in the backfield. Don't fug this up.

They can run against BAD offenses like Miami, they won’t do that against good ones. Yall see us put up good numbers in one game and think it’s going to be an every game thing…

It is a recipe though. The team hasn't had anything resembling a plan in 5 years. Running the ball is a plan.

While I do hope they run more, Miami was the worst run defense we've played this year by a mile. Atlanta was the only previous team we played that isn't a top 10 run defense and they are  16th. Miami is 30th.

It's very clearly a strength though. You're not going to average 9 yards a carry every game. You don't need to. Average 4.5-5 and the team can be competitive.

Nah, the issue with the Double Trouble approach is you rob RBs from getting in grove and getting hot.  We know Hubbard gets better the more he gets.  Rico got rolling today too.

I think the rep split nerfs RBs to a agree and prevents them from ever getting rolling

we got to good RBs.  Thats a great thing.  But I don’t want them altering series.  You don’t get special days like today doing that

    • I’m an optimist thru and thru. I love any win this team can muster, and Bryce did what he could to keep the team in it, but he’s why the team was out of it to begin with.  I like the guy, but he is not… he’s just not it… and I was swayed by the way he finished last season, but his physical limitations will never be overcome. A one arm tackle stopped him in his tracks en route for 6, among several other plays where an even average starter in the league succeeds.  A franchise QB is supposed to be his own cheat code. Bryce needs a cheat code dude, that is not him, to win. Chuba CARRIED (literally) his ass last season. Thielen bailed him out EVERY game he played in last season. Today: Rico turned in one of the best games in franchise history, Tet was unguardable and put up at least 100 yards on his own (PI yards included),  and the defense basically pitched a shutout after going down big so they could beat one of the worst teams in the NFL.
    • Jimmy came thru today I hope he is active next week   (2) NFL on X: "Bryce Young to Jimmy Horn Jr. on 4th down! MIAvsCAR on FOX/FOX One https://t.co/HkKw7uXVnt https://t.co/FYOfsxtAMk" / X
    • Rico 10000% saved Bryce Young from being benched for the Dallas game.  The way that game was going there was going to be no way to trot Bryce out next week at home if it kept going like it did.  Bryce probably is safe from bench risk until the next home and home presents itself.    He can’t be playing bad going into that next Atl game and then lay an egg in it.
