So when are these players gonna step up and suggest replacing #9?  Maybe that's the only way to get it done.

From what we can tell he still hasn’t lost the locker room. He better stop hurting the team with stupid fumbles if he wants that to continue

Canales purposefully doesn't give out game balls.

That's not stopping the players from doing it (reference: this week's locker room vid). Player-led recognition helps build team rather than being an award from the coaches.

small obs from this week's video? Thought I saw Tep in the back of a shot. Present (which is fine, especially after a win like that), but on video definitely quiet

Sometimes players see things from the field coaches cant see from above. When I was an OL I would often come out after a series and talk to coach about small shifts the defense was making to cheat one way or another and how to adjust plays to take advantage. I suspect many players do the same. Different perspectives allow for different calls.

Im fine with this, I want the guys determined.  People are only critical because we've been ass for so long.  We loved the fire of players wanting stuff like this when we were good.  This is Cam Newton from the atlanta game back in 2017.

Its ok for the coach to hear the players passion and let them take charge.  It works 2 ways, it lets players take ownership over the team, makes them FULLY responsible for their actions, but flipside, if it goes wrong, next time it happens, the coach will just go "remember that time".  Its just like any business at that point.  If you want employees to work hard, they need to feel invested in the product and just like that its good that the team feels like they have a stake in the game.
