Bryce and CJ have similar Time to Throw stats(2.81 vs. 2.73).

From PFR:

Bryce's Pressure Percentage this season has been 21.9% with a 21.4% Blitz% and a 2.5 Sec Pocket Time.

CJ's Pressure Percentage this season has been 14.3% with a 20.7% Blitz% and a 1.8 Sec Pocket Time.

So it seems like Bryce is getting as much pressure but the pressure it getting to CJ more. CJ has a 7.21% Sack Percentage to 4.68% Sack Percentage.

I mean since the whole CJ giving Caleb that post game speech their numbers are pretty similar if I’m recalling correctly

So I was curious and remember seeing a tweet but here are Young’s numbers vs Strouds number since that time

Stroud since week 3 2025. Bryce since coming back off the bench and playing in Denver

Houston's OL sucks but Stroud has also definitely regressed.

Similar story to Jayden Daniels in Washington. Both guys looked like future MVPs as rookies but sustaining success in the NFL at QB is hard. The more tape there is on you for opposing DCs to study the harder it gets.

If you look at almost all Daniels stats, they are as good or better than last year minus perhaps Completion Percentage. I don't think Daniels himself is having very much less individual success than the Redskins are reverting to the mean.

Barnwell wrote about them in the preseason as a team that had an inordinate amount of luck or success in one score games that wasn't very likely to be repeated.

His on target percentage is way down. 79% last year down to 64% this year.

Yeah and I think that directly relates to his drop in completion percentage. That On target percentage would also have almost equaled the best season in Pat Mahomes career so I do think that was likely to come back to Earth. I think he is definitely better than the 64% he is at now but also not an 80% guy either. More like a career 70-75% guy.

Seattle gave them every opportunity to come back, but the offense couldn't get it done.

That is true. They were a play away from legit earning the top pick, while in contrast we were in the 9th slot and not viewed as the worst team, not close.
We were seen by many, on the outside and here and in the building as being a player or two away from contending for the division.

Yeah, if we would have just ran it back. But, traded away CMC in the middle of the 2022 season. Didn't bring back Foreman. Gave up DJ Moore to move up in the draft. Changed the entire coaching office - for the worst. And then proceeded to injure every interior offensive lineman on the team, to the point that they were pulling guys off the street on Monday to play the following Sunday. I don't know. That was kind of alot.

What was crazy to me is that it was after CMC was trade that the team won some games. I wasn’t expecting that.
Though I will say I was kind of at odds with them making him almost the whole offense. It didn’t help the other people develop much.

But for my money all day and every day the play was Darnold, the 9th pick and the highest 2nd we gave away and DJ and all the rest of the picks we gave up plus the aggressive FA spending, rather than that drunken Vegas weekend where it all went south.

We still would have had Fitterer though and that would have been a problem.

Well CMC was rarely the reason we were winning or losing games. Hence why you don't generally pay a RB that kind of coin.

Not to mention he was insanely injury prone. He still is. It was just a poor investment we rightfully pivoted from.

And then immediately squandered all the resources we received in return and made the team worse. You know, Tepper Panthers style!

I wouldn’t have picked CMC at 8 was it? 6? I am one of the No RB that high crowd. Was then too, still am. Was actually against Stew also at 8 I think because I wanted LOT. Then Hurney moves back up… I was unhappy about that too.

CMC and Foreman would have been the perfect 1-2 punch. But they couldn't figure out how to use him until they were forced to. Imagine them behind this oline and blocking scheme. Geez!

And Foreman was pretty replaceable so no need to spend a lot Re upping him

But we are looking pretty good there right now.

We miss right now, a big back Does Tolbert have any sons?

Yeah but I don't think it lasts too long. In that scenario, Dowdle is CMC and Chuba is Foreman. We really don't know if Etienne or Brooks will be able to replace him Dowdle next season.

Yeah, a top 10 RB pick pretty much needs to be a HOFer to be worth it. It's one of the easier positions to find a decent "good" player.
