what does the panthers record need to be / who do they need to beat to make you a believer?

Believe as in we are a Super Bowl caliber team like that pic?? I mean....you are probably talking a 12+ win season this year and steadily getting better and better each week.

That's an exceptionally tall task for this season. I don't think that measuring stick is a particularly useful one.

If we answer key personnel questions, expand our core players and set the table for a better 2026, I will be very happy.

That is pretty close to the plan. Long, time consuming drives should be the strategy. Do not get into a shootout with Josh Allen. We would be bringing a slingshot to a gunfight in that scenario.

We might not have much of a choice.  Josh Allen coming off back to back losses and sitting on that through the bye week, I'm not sure there's any defense in the league that is going to keep the Bills to under 30 points in this situation.

It's one of those games where you hope you win the coin toss so you can actually elect to receive.  Because if not, very good chance the score is going to be 7-0 before your offense takes the field.

The funny thing is looking at the schedule before the season, the Bills should have beaten both the Patriots and Falcons and then spent their bye week looking past us and to the Chiefs the following week.

I thought we would win 6 games coming into the season….and I had almost all the wins coming in the exact spot of the schedule we got them.

we have backup caliber QB with a healthy roster.  Beating the teams we have doesn’t erase that and you will finish with a losing record with that type play on the year

    • Man I was hoping if Evero leaves that Ulbrich would be the Panthers DC hire.  He turned the Falcons defensive pass rush into one of the leagues best.
    • To everyone saying he won't take a DC job and only will be taking a HC job this year, I'm not entirely sure about that. To begin with, in today's NFL, most teams prefer to hire an offensive background coach over defensive. Adding to that, there have been 3 hires so far this year, with 2 of them being defensive guys.  And since there are only going to be so many teams looking to hire a defensive minded HC each year, it decreases his odds.  Also, Saleh was always a hot name in this cycle and teams are probably more familiar with him as they've been looking into him for a while already. Then you look at the openings left... I can't see him wanting to go to the Raiders or Browns.  The Cardinals just fired a defensive coach, can't see them hiring another right after.   That just leaves the Ravens and Steelers.  He's probably too old for the Steelers to have any interest in him and I've got to think the Ravens are going to be looking for an innovative offensive mind type of HC to maximize Lamar's prime window. Sure, he might just sit the season out and try for a HC job next offseason, but I just don't see any fits that make sense for him right now.
    • Falcons continue making good moves. One of the reasons they hired a coach so quickly was because locking up Ulbrich was a priority. The Falcons agreed to terms with defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich on a new three-year deal, per sources. Kevin Stefanski’s first key staff addition come in-house in Atlanta, where Ulbrich’s D set a franchise record with 57 sacks in 2025.
