Yup. Evero called a good game today and the players executed well. Still some really frustrating plays, but they didn't make it easy on GB, forced long drives, and made some massive plays when it mattered

Considering how lopsided our investment is in the offense versus the defense they are without a doubt holding up their end of the bargain and then some. Now just imagine if we actually had a real passing O.

For what it's worth, that investment in the OL is paying off. Despite massive injuries we are maintaining a functioning - even dangerous - rushing attack.  Obviously we are in agreement on the passing O heh.

But I'm glad to see the D having a game like this. It builds tons of confidence

Well the reality of the matter is we invested in the OL and particularly the interior OL through the nose the way we did as a direct response to protecting and giving our QB a chance. And we've changed gears entirely and became an old school ground and pound team. It's still way too much to pay to have such an anemic passing game.

Absolutely they deserve major kudos especially after that dreadful loss last week. This thread should be many more pages considering how much trash people have talked about the defense for weeks now.

I haven't been a huge Evero fan; however, today seemed like a well called game.  Rushed four on third and long , but the secondary held up.  Dialed up some pressures at the right time.  If the defense deserve credit, which they do, then Evero deserves  credit for a well called game.  WE BEAT GREEN BAY IN GREEN BAY!

I will absolutely give them credit for holding a great offense to just 13 points, credit is due to them for that, no doubt about it.

But I will also point out how we didn't force them to punt one time all game either.  Which is also why I feel like the Packers lost this game more than we won it, missed FG and a few bad turnovers cost them the game, and not sure I'd say we forced them into those things, maybe the fumble, but not the INT or missed kick, bad throw/play call, bad kick.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
