to be honest I can see us going 3-1. Our defense has really showed up with good interceptions and giving us great field position. Albeit the Rams have the best offense in the NFL so giving up 28 to them is a win knowing we had to score 30 to beat them. Offense is still sputtering a bit. Need more consistency but definitely has improved. Seattles defense scares me. Bucs D doesnt scare me. I think we maybe go 3-1 or 2-2 with a sweep on the bucs or split and a lose to Seattle.

if you look at the last 6 games, it's really hard to say the pass game has improved.  It's basically a random Atlanta game.....and collectively a worse pass attack than last year

206, 169, 124, 102, 138.  That's an average of 147 pass yards per game of late w/ the random Atlanta game set to the side.  So that's 3 wins in there not counting Atlanta.   Law of averages say it very tough to imagine our magic is going to keep allowing wins.

I think we are better than New Orleans.  But they play Bryce really well.  I think we will be a slight favorite in that one game.  Dogs in all the rest.

Offense. Not just passing. Rushing as well. Although Rico hasnt been on a rampage like he was. Literally the run game has been successful enough to open up the pass a bit. And we cant discredit a game when its still a game. Yes Bryce is still inconsistent. But the offense overall has played better than usual.

San Francisco is currently the last wild card with a 9-4 record and they own the tie breaker over us meaning we need a better record in the end. We probably don't make the playoffs without winning the division.

While this is the easiest way the NFC west has 2 teams tied and a team a game back, and they face each other at least one time...  depending on how those games shake out we would potentially have the tie break vs the rams and Seahawks....

Like I said I still think Bryce is inconsistent, but the oline definitely deserves credit because the run game has kept us in the game with 3rd and shorts. Making it very manageable to go for 4th downs at times and continuing drives. So overall our offense has looked better

well, it's not just passing.....because passing hasn't.   We are winning with a MUCH improved D and a good run game being even better.

Bryce really isn't inconsistent.  He is consistent.  With an oddity here or there on a rare occasion (which all consistent people have).

100% and beating tampa with vita vea becomes a lot easier if Hunt is back

I still say he is inconsistent. He drops dimes one game and misses easy ones the next. yesterday he dropped some dimes. SF he couldnt drop a rock in the ocean

He consistently over 3 seasons has shown an inability to make plays from the pocket vs zone coverage.  3 straight years of it being extremely consistent.  He also has shown, if you want really any hope of him making plays downfield.......you have to give him man looks.

and given that consistency, Canales adjustment all season......has been to basically ask Bryce Young to take shots on 3rd/4th and short......where he can get man looks and a defense playing the short yardage.  And teams will adjust (well, who knows about that because up until yesterday that hasn't worked out well all season for Canales/Bryce).

    • I’ve said it in the past that this team has found brief runs of success this season off of a player or few that decides to turn God mode on for the day. Yesterday Chuba looked like the stud many forgot he was last season. Mike Jack ball hawked a pick 6 to the house? WTF? Derrick m-fin Brown.  Does anyone remember the last time a Panthers lineman closed out a big game? That play was classic Jenkins.  Coker is a stud (we are VERY fortunate to have him). Tet is a stud. Brown is a stud. Rico is a stud. Ickey is a stud. The O line continues to play much better than they rightfully should be. The depth players by and large have been refreshingly competent.  If they would have just played Panthers brand football all season they would probably have 9 wins but it is what it is. I think Bryce is far more comfortable in the game manager role, which for now is ‘ok’… for now. A team that can run the ball at will and has an opportunistic defense is a tough out for anybody, home or away.
    • True. But that elevation gain is no joke on the lungs.
    • Take away Bryce's two 4th and short passes and the screen to Chuba and what are you left with on fhe passing game? See how it goes when you selectively eliminate the three best plays? We caught lightning in a bottle yesterday on both sides of the ball. The D was overall not good but had three great plays forcing turnovers taking one back for a TD. The offensive passing game overall was not good but had three big plays resulting in TDs.
