Idk… skipping out on fumbles and completion percentage doesn’t look great. I think the better argument in favor of Bryce is that he has improved in yards, yards per attempt, completion percentage, and touchdowns each year, year over year.  That’s pretty promising…except where he started was so dismal. And every third game he flashes that year 1 quality. Honestly I think we’ll keep him.

Bryce is averaging less yards in 2025 than in 2024 as a starting QB.  ypa attempt is virtually identical, as it's so close next Sunday can swing it under(as he has been under his average in most games this season).

Bryce  is not averaging less yards than 2024. He is averaging more.  In 2025, he is averaging 194.8 yards per game. In 2024, it was was 171.6. That looks like more to me but maybe I’m missing something.  The point is that they both are pretty bad and whether the improvement gives us any hope that he will one day not be pretty bad

Wouldn’t surprise me at all. I still don’t think he’ll ever get us to the show, but we might be stuck with a large contract. The 5th year tier 1 QB option is already over $40M.

I’m worried we won’t ever try to draft a QB with a high pick and get elite level physical talent. I do like the 2026 QB draft because there have been a lot of underachieving QBs that were highly touted. Good draft to get a potential great value.

I’m going to enjoy the ride we’ve had so far this year but I don’t like the idea of extending knowing we are basically doing what Arizona did with Murray knowing he’s just OK and not going to lead you to the SB.

So the 5th year option minimum is 40 Mill, what is the average amongst NFL teams expense on a QB, like relatively speaking. I’ve not ever really looked into the money and just accepted it’s reality tv LOL.

but I still love the game and hold out hope it’s real.

What’s scary is that it is highly likely he gets off to a rough start next year. He did it year 1, year 2, and year 3. Question is, will he be able to get out of the funk quick enough to not lose the team any games?

Guess this is what we have to live with.

you are missing the word as a starter.   as a starter, he is averaging less in 2025 than in 2024.  It's a technicality as he averaged 195.75 as a starter in 2024.   But less is less.  Those 2 garbage time appearances when Dalton got pulled late skews his 2024 per game number down.

But if you are looking for non-technicalities, he is averaging basically the exact same yards per game as starter and ypa the last 2 seasons as a starter as the difference is splitting hairs.

his 5th year is 27 million, I believe its tied to his draft year and not current market.

Im not going to even think about it right in the race, off-season will have 100s of thread talking about it and whether to pick up or pass......Im no fan BY, *but a panther fan....... I do not know what to do, just Id hate to tie my job status to BY......100% bring in some legit comp, this is the NFL f BYs feelings....
