I will be unhappy with a 2nd place schedule next year.

Next year we play Lions, Tigers, and Bears (and Ravens) at home... along with NFC WEST and AFC WEST.

Our away games will be vs the Browns, Packers, Vikings, Steelers, and NFC East

GOOD NEWS (unless we get a Europe game, which isn't out of the question) is that our away travel schedule is fairly close to home. None of our away games are past the Central timezone. I'd be surprised if we were scheduled to *host* a home match in Germany until 2028 based on rotation.

Based on today's standings, we would play the Chargers and Seahawks at home, and Cowboys away.

Basically HAVE to sweep the Bucs, no way around that. Then win one of the other two and you're in.

Assuming we beat the Saints, the Seahawks game is largely irrelevant.

There’s a path if we split with Tampa but will need some help from Miami, New Orleans, and Atlanta. Mainly, the last two. Sweeping Tampa is the easiest way. If they lose to New Orleans this week or Atlanta next week and we win after the bye, it changes a lot.

So find a New Orleans jersey for Sunday, burn it before next Sunday and then find an Atlanta jersey for the next week.

Beat the Saints, beat Tampa at home, rest the starters against Seattle and try to be as healthy as possible for week 18 (only if we have the same record as Tampa), beat Tampa again week 18.

Downside to that, is if we do beat Seattle we may not need to beat them a 2nd time. Depending on how they do up to that point.

If we have the same record, we would have to because Tampa would have the better division record at 5-1. I just don't see Tampa losing to the Saints or Falcons at home.

Kind of reminds me of the 2008 season. Maybe the game against the Bucs will get flexed and Chuba and Rico will run all over TB for the division title.

We won @ New Orleans that year.  Me and my buddy drove down there the day after Christmas.  Great game.  Classic Jake to Smitty prayer shot leading to a John Kasay game winner.
