The Bears literally went from the #1 seed in the NFC entering this week to the 7 seed with this loss.

All the Saints had to do was lose to be in the top draft slot. I think they are 5th now. And Tennessee wins to knock themselves out.

I would feel bad for KC's OL injury luck if we literally hadn't had more of it.

Almost to the point of needing to carry a dozen linemen anymore. Way too many injuries for most teams every year. I'd like to see the roster expanded a few spots to help, or even a few more protected spots on the PS and expand a few slots there.

The NFLPA pushed for less contact in practices to cut down on injuries but I'm not sure it's working out that way. There's a fine line you gotta walk between practicing too hard and getting your body ready to play. Football players have to have contact, fighters have to spar. You can overdo it but if you underdo it that's not gonna work either.

I don't think it has much to do with that. You just can't keep increasing the amount of games without this being inevitable.

fug PS spots, the NFLPA should push for larger game day rosters the next time 18 games comes up.

Yeah. Tough end to what started out as a good story for him and the Colts.

The fun is just starting for the sideline headset wearing owner women.
They gave up their next two 1st round picks for a cornerback. And from what little I saw, really should not have done that.

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
