I love ball. Watching other people compete in athletics is kinda weird, period if we're being completely honest. If anything, it might be weirder watching adults making millions to play kids' games.

There’s nothing weird about watching HS football. I’m just 10 years removed from it and I remember the excitement. It’s about as pure as football gets, playing for the love of the game.

There's a high school in Cornelius?  I remember when it was just North Meck.

Yeah, I think it's only been there for a little over 10 years or something. I graduated HS in 2000 so there's a poo ton of schools that I'm like "who???"

Grimsley won. I turned the game off early in the 4th.. The refs made it unwatchable. Flags every play with five minute ref conferences to discuss all of them. The 3rd quarter took 53 minutes. HS quarters are 12 minutes. That was a three and a half hour football game that didn't go into OT with 12 minute quarters. That's basically like the first three quarters if an NFL game taking three and a half hours. Absurd. Just tell those refs their services won't be needed going forward.

Damn, And kind of wanted to watch and don’t realize it was this week.  I’m Fayetteville born and raised but moved out to the Clayton area after college.  Saw Clayton was having a great year and was hoping they would win it all, but I had no idea the #1 QB in the country was on the opposing team.🤣

I'm 35 years removed from it, live within walking distance of West Ashley High, and an easy drive over to Summerville High in SC, and I have never and would never attend a game. I don't think I would go to a game at my HS alma mater for that matter unless I was physically forced. To each their own.
