Why does Bryce get the blame?

Canales is currently under contract through 2029.

If Bryce has a bad year next year I'd bet dollars to donuts that the following year sees Dan and Dave being allowed to pick the guy they want to replace him.

Zero logic to cleaning house just over Bryce, especially when you consider that neither of them were in charge when he was taken.

history says there is zero chance David Tepper lets a losing HC have a shot to do it "his way" starting year 4.  Heck, not even Tepper.  You can go league wide with that.  Coaches aren't afforded that sort of time line in today's NFL.

Who is laughing at Lamar, Mahomes, Rodger’s not running the sneak themselves? They just have a tight end do it.

Why the fug is that not an option for this team if Bryce can’t do it? It’s is such a tired narrative that it negatively affects the team and is some huge flaw.

We could even do a tush push with Bryce and have him find a tiny gap. Then Tremble can shove him through it. Boom, now we’ve turned his size into an unstoppable weapon. Tush Push 2.0

Lamar slightly built a made of glass aging duel threat (yea hes 28 but that's old for his play style). Mahomes suffered a busted kneecap in 2019 on a sneak.  Rodgers ran them all the time until is late 30s.....  not the same as not believing the guy has the strength to make it successful.

You would be absolutely insane to think that.   If 2026 mirrors or is worse they are done.   That is just how it works

Not really. Frankly, there is no one "way it works" in the NFL...

And for whatever I may think of Tepper, I don't believe he's quite dumb enough to put blame on two guys who at the moment are doing decent jobs (especially Morgan this year) for not succeeding with a guy that it was his insistence we take.

he is a fool to think that if it goes sideways next year, after picking up the 5th, that tepper will let dan and dave paint bryce as a scapegoat and let them bring in "their" guy in year 4.  No fuging owner is letting that happen.

You're referring to the guy who not long ago got stung by the criticism of how many different coaches he'd been through in a short cycle?

The same guy who also not much more than a week ago went on record saying he really loved what he saw Dan Morgan and Dave Canales building here?

That David Tepper?

Okay, sure 😕

Lemme guess: Is David Tepper sitting right next to you in the room again?

Yes, yes there is absolutely a way it works.  How often do you ever see a coach and gm get multiple chances at picking the qb?  If it happens its damn rare.

And the jury is still out on Morgan.  poo draft last year, 2025 is trending down so yeah I suspect after next year we will have a pretty good resume to judge dan and dave.

Can’t throw 25 yards? lol he just threw a bomb to Evans on Thursday, you do know it’s not his throwing shoulder.

🤣🤣🤣 im well aware of that you do know the motion required to generate a throw like that is extremely painfull on the opposite shoulder too right?  Also it was the longest pass he threw all night at 27 air yards.... hardly a "bomb"

Yes I am sure he is loving having one of the worst offenses and worst performing qbs in the nfl.  Especially after being told DC was some offensive dude that could "fix" bryce.  I am sure he is estatic about that fact

Doubt he'll ever be elite, but as I've mentioned previously it is fair to point out that he's improved over the past two seasons and could further improve next year also.

I'm still not confident in him at this point but none of us can guarantee that won't happen.

It took awhile but as Bryce progresses he’s essentially becoming exactly what they expected when they drafted him

Bryce was never supposed to be Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen or Joe Burrow. Bryce Young was pegged as a point guard type QB that can give you a handful of special plays/throws a game.

The ones that are crying about the trade still are the ones that never understood what exactly Bryce is/was.  You can disagree with trading up for a QB like Bryce but you can’t hate Bryce for that.

Bryce bailed out the coaching staff and OL enough times on Sunday. He did his part. He extended multiple plays and some big time anticipation throws. There’s at least 4-5 really good plays from Sundays game where Bryce was damn good. Canales is the one who says we just need a few special plays from our QB per game

The FO and even Tepper knew what they were drafting when they took Bryce. Hell, Tepper called him a point guard himself the night of draft. It’s on the FO to surround him/a QB like him with the proper pieces to be successful. Which they have not.

There's enough data to make an educated case

I think he has improved..... very very slightly year to year at this rate with his limitations he will finally cap out as Brock Purdy in 2036

Bryce is so bad I'm praying they sign Howell and give him a shot in Canales modified run/spread/PA air Coryell....  Brycey cant consistently hit the deeper plays to make it effective.
