Why does Bryce get the blame?

An offense that has 73% of the cap and the last five years of first rounders should be expected to score more than 17 points in a critical game vs the worst team in the NFC

If your expecting us to be like the Rams or Lions then your sadly mistaken. We will never be a high octane offense like that. We have always been a run first team.

Yep.  We have invested in this team significantly lopsided.  It should be an O heavy team at this stage even if not consistent.  But it’s an archaic O because of the QB.

I mean the draft has been O- TMJ, mingo, XL, tmac all either 1st or 2nd rounders

rb- brooks in the 2nd, early 4th on trevor

TE- first 4th rounder sanders, Evans mid 5th

I mean after that "all-D rhule" draft its been O in the early and often cat.

#1 cap/money OL in the NFL without icky signing his record breaking LT deal.

BY only needs 10 all-pros around him, then WATCH-OUT NFL!!!!

You can be high octane with a run based offense see 2015 panthers, last years eagles, any of the last five years of Baltimore teams.

Here’s what I dont understand.  We basically played the same game against New Orleans that lost us the first matchup. Why not let Bryce turn it loose. What an absolute perfect opportunity for the franchise to fully evaluate him in these final four games.

if he absolutely falls on his face, you have your definitive answer and will have no issue selling it to your fanbase that you’re moving on.  You will have constructed a good core of offensive players that you should be able to plug a vet into and see similar if not better results.

If he balls out, you’ll have all the evidence you need to speak about growth and giving the fifth year option won’t be as tough a pill to swallow. You’ll also be a playoff team in year two and be flirting with double digit wins.

if it’s uneven, which it likely would be, you can talk about growth and being ahead of schedule with the roster and go into next year with some time on your hands before needing to make a decision on the fifth year.

the absolute last thing you needed to do was put up another game where there’s more questions than answers about your QBs ability and the trust you have in him.

Canales and his staff were horrendous yesterday.

well if he (bryce) was 6'5" 245 lbs than yea we could but he isnt which is why I wasnt a advocate for him in the first place. But as for yesterdays game he played well enough for us to win without the defense getting penalties all the time. And all the teams have scrambling QBs who are big.

We literally scored on 3 of our 4 first possessions and they had one possession of 11 mins. Defense let us down on this one with penalties.

Hmmmm convention to mention the first four drives when we had a total of 8....

FYI here are the last 4.....

If your #1 overall pick can't be counted on to will your team to a win vs an opponent who is 2-10 vs the rest of the NFL..... yeah

Thats more on Canales plenty of teams use the TE or RB for it

It’s slightly different.  Most of those teams aren’t doing it because their QBs are incapable….  so the message to everyone is a little different.

okay so its Bryce fault they get a holding call and et backed up. Come on man. You know we arent good at 3rd and longs. He didnt turn the ball over and he dropped dimes to Coker and TMAC shouldve caught that one. Granted a little behind but very catchable.  Im not a Bryce supporter at all but I call it how I see it. He didnt cost us that game yesterday. Nuff said.

It wasn't the play calling or the preparation. It was the execution and on field communication in the final 11 minutes of the game with over an 80% win probability.

It began on 3rd and short inside the opponents 40. Bryce audibled out to a QB run. TMac was set up for a one on one on the outside. Bryce identified the 6 gap property as the greatest chance of success, but failed to realize Chuba was confused on the audible leading to the blocking break down between Chuba and Tremble on Granderson. They were suppose to double Granderson and Tremble peels off to block the safety allowing  Bryce to choose to go to the inside or outside off the double team based on where the safety commits.

Chuba also messed up the 4th and 1 with poor vision and not trusting to go off the block of Ekwonu into a sealed running lane for an easy 1 yard gain. Why Chuba thought doing a lateral jump cut to the right side of the line when it was a dive to the left is puzzling.

His O is just built on taking repeated shots and that’s not BY’s game.  It was always a round peg and square hole….

But I also agree with your post.  I hate OC HCs.  Especially green ones.   I never liked anything about the setup.  He should have had a real OC.  Focused on learning to be a HC.

I get your point but personally I’ll take an Andy Reid any day.
