We do need to dramatically upgrade over Scourton, Jones, Wonnum and Umanmielen. That is likely in the running for the NFL's worst two deep. Not saying all those players are bad, but I am saying 100% of those players are 2nd or 3rd stringers.

Despite many in here talking down upon him, Wallace was an impact maker on this defense.   His presence is already missed.   

Am glad they put him on the shelf, before his shoulder got worse.  I oray for a quick recovery for him.

I am curious what you are basing this on? 

He has produced very little and the eye test has been even worse.

There is a difference between filling needs based on who the board falls and pure desperation. 

Also, one would think there will be upgrades available in free agency to take some heat off the draft.

I'm not going to argue with you on this. I've seen every game.  Our linebacker play has quietly surprised me from my own low expectations from the beginning of the year.  I know it's easy to miss the great linebacker play our franchise has been spoiled with most of our existence.  I certainly miss it too. I just don't expect to be able to find linebackers like that easily.  They're still out there.   

I'll certainly be watching to see what Dan does this off season to improve the group.  

Dont be so hard on our guys, they have all played better than most have expected.  They're just not elite. Continuing to point that out, doesn't change anything.

I would say that Wallace has definitely not played better than I expected, although perhaps he has been better than you expected, so there is that.

Rozebum has been far worse than I expected. He is one of the worst to ever play LB for us, IMO.
