Dave Canales killing me with his play calling!

These are semantics. We see teams take out starters all the time in run away games. It's not a new thing. We lost our starting TE on the first play from scrimmage, then a special teams player. By this time of year I think it's fair to say the kids have earned their money. And it makes sense not to have unnecessary risk at the end of a game that has clearly been decided already, especially considering the magnitude of next week's game on the road. I get your point, but at the same time... this isn't what was to take from this game.

It’s not semantics, I don’t even recall college coaches taking a knee with two minutes to go, jmo. It’s football players get hurt, you don’t quit.

But they are professionals, not college or high school players. They understand the situation and the reason. Trust me, they're beating themselves for the loss, not even giving the knell down a second thought. I think these guys like playing for Canales. I don't sense locker room strife with these guys. Trust me, I get where you're coming from, it a fair take. But at that point in the game it's not perceived as quitting. Who's to say he didn't ask the team? Stands to reason if a key player can get hurt on the first play of the game, a key player can on the last play. Imagine that discussion? If Dowdle goes down on a play that is meaningless when they are playing for the title next week?

Dave is 1000% the problem. He waits until last minute to try and take a shot. I don’t even believe Bryce is the problem anymore. Go try and play QB on madden forced to play in a 10 yard window with pressure and nothing but check down routes.

bryce has had me livid in moments but when he’s free to play something good happens more often than not. I’m good with the 5th year, but Dave has got to wake tf up or gtfo

He looks pretty bad...but when your QB is bad, well.... he's not this offensive guru genius he thinks he is...he needs an OC

Yeah, I'm not sure why Dave, as an inexperienced head coach, has decided to take the reigns as the play caller on offense. It hasn't been a good look for him this year, especially after today. Typically, if the defense holds a team to 16 points you should be able to win. We've seen this defense exceed expectations and make crucial stops and turnovers. Just to watch the offense not take advantage. Panthers are losing because of the offense and it's as clear as day.

Moving the ball down field and getting close to scoring position, and you do a trick play, on a wet field no less. My, oh my.

Yeah, I will never understand that play. There's a REAL lack of situational awareness going on with the play calling.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
