Reminder: A team lead by Matt Rhule/Steve Wilks got us this result…..

Dayum. You hit the way back

Honestly the best part was finding these so quick, but also finding one from November 2022 about the Panthers being interested in Frank Reich. I was all excited about that one. What a whiff.

Steve Wilks, CMC and Sam Darnold all ended up in the SB in 2023 when the Panthers drafted Bryce Young #1. And the 49ers franchise QB in the SB was chosen 1 pick before Bryce Young.

I suggested a 99 Rams all in offensive strategy going into 2022. Fire Rhule at the end of 2021.  I was good with Wilks returning as a HC.

We don't get what we want. If I did, the Panthers would have never needed Sean Gilbert and the Panthers first ten 1st round picks would have been Warren Sapp, Ty Law, Bobby Taylor, Ray Lewis, Tiki Barber, Randy Moss, Jevon Kearse, Chris Hovan, Dan Morgan, and Julius Peppers.

I think there have been plenty of us ready to move on from Canales. He is far too inexperienced as both an offensive coordinator and a head coach. He is genuinely one of the worst in game coaches we have had in the Tepper era.

Any one of the 5 or 6 upcoming coaches that were available in the last 2 years , and now have their teams rolling, didn't want to come here because they were going to be tethered to Brycie, a losing situation by anyone with common sense. That was a Dipper stipulation. They actually wanted a chance to do something with a team. Anyone in football, besides Dipper, can see how bad we are hamstrung with trying to jam Brycie down our throats. I can't believe anyone in that locker room can believe they are going to trot Brycie out there again next year...they have to believe in a QB....Off the record...bet they are talking big poo about him but just towing the line to get paid. We have Canales because nobody reputable wanted to come to this sht show.... and hes not this offensive guru...

7 wins with a chance to win the division at the end of the season against Tampa.

Stats for the team who started 1-4 under Rhule, and then continues under Wilks with that disaster of a coaching staff:

-Points per game: 20.4 vs 19.1 This season

-Total offensive yards: 5,206 vs 4,601 This season

-Passing yards: 4,908 vs 3,307 This season

-Rushing yards: 2,085 vs 1,859 This season

-Defensive points per game: 22 vs 22.5 This season

-Defensive yards allowed: 350 vs 331 this season (slight improvement but remember Rhule coached part of the year and the coaching staff changed significantly throughout the season after Wilks took over)

I’m happy that we are playing for something, but let’s not fool ourselves that the only reason we have a shot is because our division is trash. It’s the end of year 2 for Dave and he isn’t putting up inspiring numbers compared to the famous Matt Rhule/Steve Wilks team.

4900 passing yards? What the heck are you looking at?

It was 3,246 yards passing
