We have an entire season that tells that is exactly how we lose.  The formula to win is a clear science at this point

we run.  We hope it is ugly.  We sit back on D and hope to capitalize on mistakes.  We ask Bryce to make about 2-3 real throws in favorable setups.   We hope in the 4th quarter we are in a one score game.

your formula is how the score would be 30-0 at the half

It’s a tough way to win games but it is what it is.  You are dependent on the other team to not have a good days. Do we want a chance at another miracle or do we just want to lose it out the gate?  Dave is going to try to win I would think.  That’s the whole point.  Not some Bryce fantasy being forever wished

Over the last 8 games, Rico and Hubbard, combined, are averaging 69 yrds/game and have scored exactly 2 TD's. They have also fumbled twice. That is not a formula for winning.

Our offensive line was put the Rams lighter defensive front in the weight room last game. It'll have to be the same for this game too if we want to have a chance. Got to run the ball and win time of possession or else it'll get ugly. They moved the ball at will on us last game.

Hopefully Hunt will be back. I don't have confidence with Corbett playing.

I mean it is.  Thats literally how we have won most games or had the opportunity.   The formula to win gives you the opportunity.  It doesn't guarantee it lol.

Thats how we beat the Rams.  Beat the Packers.  We had opportunity Saturday.

Putting it on Bryce from the jump is the definition of a losing strategy.  Even most Bryce stans know this.  You just what to argue

Here's the breakdown on every 1st down play through the first three quarters Sunday.

Run plays went for: 0, -2, 0, 2, 4, 4, -1 and 5 yrds.

Pass plays went for: 20, 5, 11, 15, 0 and 13 yards.

Canales' problem is he loves to run it on 1st downs. Everyone knows it so they stack the box - and he still runs it which consistently puts them at 2nd and long which is a failing strategy.

I don't think the Rams will allowing Tmac or Cooker to get behind them again on 4th downs next Saturday. If they want to win, Bryce will need to step up.

I do agree they will need the run game but I wouldn't depend on it for the win.

The funny thing is I would have expected you to want Canales to put it in Youngs' hands. That would prove that he isn't the guy once and for all. Especially given the decision that will need to be made over the next several months.

At this point, if Hunt can't come back, I would rather see Curhan at RG than Corbett...

So, I took a look at this from a pure stats perspective and added a little context. I don't have snap by snap individual grades but essentially I compared the games that Curhan played above 20 snaps(or 50% of overall offensive snaps) to Corbett's 4 games started at OG.

RB Yards Per Carry to the Right Side(not including QB): 5.10 for Curhan. However, the average ranking of the rush defense faced was 13.7.

RB Yards Per Carry to the Right Side(not including QB): 3.47 for Corbett. However, the average ranking of the rush defense faced was 8

It's would be interesting to see a more detailed/graded breakdown of them snap by snap. I do think there is at least some evidence Curhan might be more effective from a 10,000 foot view.

Not exactly apples to apples, but I do think the rebuild is ahead of schedule.  We can almost treat this postseason like a bowl game. Get the experience. Learn.  We don't have the horses, especially on defense to win the super bowl. You never know what can happen, so def don't squander the opportunity, or take it for granted, but I do think we can make this very productive by seeing how Sean McVay goes after us.

I also think this is a really good look for us at offseason needs, and what it's going to take to get over the hump and join that next tier of teams, especially with our division looking pretty crowded.

Boy would it be nice for Bryce to have a good ball game and shut up some haters.

That's sort of the way I look at it. Let the young guys at least get a taste of playoff football. They beat my projected 4-7 wins by 1, so that's a surprise and a good sign. Focus on continuing to build a credible NFL roster across the board in the offseason. Get another good draft in the books.

lol….you are suggesting if Bryce shows he isn’t the dude one more time and has one more bad game…..you would finally change your stance on him?  That isn’t true.   It would just be excuse making.  He is what he is.  Another game isn’t going to change anything.

I want the TEAM to take advantage of this luxury and grow and learn from it.  Not for it to be wasted.  So I expect and support Dave to keep doing what he has been doing

Our formula to win is easy. We either win by 3 or lose
