Lol how is any of that different than what Tepper does? Neither team is well run and it all starts with ownership. Teppers hired consultants to then hire their AGM from their last failed hiring cycle.

Tampa and the Saints at least got some SBs out of their ownership. Not much meaningful differences between Atlanta and Carolina anymore. I guess they got the new and awful stadium that Carolina will end up with eventually.

It isn't that different, that is why it is funny. They are sinking to our level in Blank's last years.

No kidding. The last thing a pissed off fan wants to read to thesis of what went wrong and what should have been.  Give them the cliff notes.

"Sorry, I fugged up. Changes are being made and I will make better decisions.  This fan base deserves better."

Ta-da!

If you need to hire a consultant you should probably find a new profession lol. Even if you're just the rich asshole that owns the business sell that one and buy another one you have some sort of history of success with. Or just sell it and disappear and give someone else a shot. Being rich doesn't make someone relevant outside of their own mind aside from being able to afford to pay people to pretend to like/respect/fear you

Im not sure we have escaped the Jets. They did have 2  7 win seasons 2 years ago. With the way the NFL is set up the teams at the bottom have blip years just from the parody. It doesn't last but picking in the top 10 for 5 years should get you around .500 at some point.

The Jets just embarked on a multi-year tank job. They did load up on draft assets though. We will see how long it takes them to rebuild after trading away most of their talent.

The Jets just pulled off a record of all records not intercepting a single pass this year. Even at our worst and most inept, we weren't setting embarrassingly bad records that will never be broken...

What's funny is that even if they hit on picks they will waste rookie contract windows and likely watch it walk or have to overpay to keep it there. Really no point in a rebuild if they can't hire better.

I Think You Should Leave Tim Robinson GIF by The Lonely Island

Until Bryce has a season where he has 0 TDs and like 30 INTs, yeah...

Since INTs have been tracked (I think like 1930 or some year like that), there has never been a team to not get at least 1 interception in a season. The Jets accomplished that this season...

Like, I could be a millionaire right now if I had just bet the opposing QB to not throw an INT against the Jets every game this season...

    • A team should do everything they can to prop up their investment in a QB regardless of who it is.
    • I am not wanting to be too judgemental of Morgan over his first draft given the circumstances.  People don’t like my rationale but you know, I don’t so much like theirs either.  I was adamantly against drafting Bryce and very resentful over the extreme (imo) measures taken to prop him up. I feel like Dan got caught in that trap with demands or conditions placed on him to help out the QB and the new Offensive minded head coach.  And my biased opinion is that it was still all Bryce centric. Micro managed and solely focused on making him a viable player after his first disastrous season. Mandated to help the offense in that draft.  I feel like my speculation is reasonable given the climate and situation, and it includes the reasons we didn’t take a C, the reasons we overdrafted a RB and that particular WR. It was totally need based. Perceived needs. All to maximize Bryce.    And if it were me, and I wanted the GM slot of my team that I came up with, I would be willing to accede to the agenda that I feel was in place. The goals he had to meet.  It is pretty simple, just put Bryce’s needs at the center of everything that was done and work your way through it.  I have no idea or inside info, and people have mocked my opinion for it but that is what it is, it still makes sense to me.
