In a way. I get it because even though I missed the game except for the very end it seems like it was a big positive.

Being happy after losing means we were just happy to be here. I think most of us were to be honest.
And you don’t want that but it is hard to blame people that have been starved for success for so long.

This board was split between us either cracking .500 at 9, maybe 10 wins or winning 5 games. Wind it back, and this was a "good" season. We played our asses off against a team everyone has been glazing as a SB team all year and lost it in the last minute. We showed multiple times this year that we CAN play with and beat the best teams in the league. Next season, the bar is higher. The playoffs are the expectation, that's the floor. This is my take on the year. We've done enough growing now, time to be grown.

I get all that, not sure I went over 7 wins. So, we over achieved. Happy to be here is what it feels like from most people.

I'm usually Mr. Pessimistic but I can't help but feel optimistic going into next year.

I am usually Mr Pessimistic as well and am looking at that 1st place schedule, at our 1-4 finish and tempering my optimism, I’ll be a wait and see type.

If in June you said we'd have hosted a home playoff game and had four lead changes in the final quarter of that game vs the mighty Rams, but just lost by 3 in the end...

I'd have thought you were smoking crack.

The guys did better than any of us expected this season. They've set the bar high for themselves next season. I ain't mad.

And Bryce played like he deserved to be there. Still not sure why we didn't keep pushing those slant routes at the end there with the success we'd been having with them and three timeouts in our pocket.

Oh well, coach and company have grown a lot this year, and they've got some more to grow on.

I wasn't indicating our saying that you were endorsing him

Was not sure--but I wanted to make sure--I gave up on him early this season---and I was born in Columbia while my father was playing for the Gamecocks, so it was tough to do!!

Honestly so confused at what they were trying to do on that last offensive drive. They literally had all their timeouts. Why wouldn't they just tale some middle of field stuff to move the ball. I know there was under 40 seconds but they literally had timeouts

Looked like panic. I listened on the radio, sounded like panic. What else?

Bang bang bang bang empty your gun and never hit a thing.

I like that energy. I definitely think he's a little Scooby Doo overboard positive dopey in the pressers but behind closed doors I do think it's different.

I know we all want to have the #1 HC, OC and DC every year but I do think we can win consistently with Canales.

    • I would write “give remmers tight end help” on a yellow sticky note and stuck it in shulas playbook the night before superbowl 50.
    • And don’t worry about Bryce he will be great… Peyton Manning had a horrible rookie year too 😂
    • Nothing wrong with it at all until you start telling others they are bad fans or not fans. But you are the good fan because you never say negative stuff about the team.    I did many years of that type of uninformed fanning because there really was no info and coverage like there is with the internet.    I mean, I used to go to the store and get Street and Smith’s annual football issue. That was about the extent of what you could get if you didn’t live in a big city with sportswriters covering and reporting.  There was no video to look at or replay the games and if you didn’t live in the market you could only rarely see your football team play.    TI have fanned since being a kid in the early 1960s, and as late as 1995 - ‘97 I lived in Atlanta and good luck getting more than 3 or 4 games a year on TV. No radio either. No print coverage outside of an AP recap and box unless they played Atlanta.  People today that have always had the network connection don’t know.    I wasn’t very educated about the Panthers until I finally got internet.
