Consensus view on Evero summed up in 1:00

Absolutely should have been a fireable offense (and this coming from a guy who defended Evero throughout the season)

There is only 3 outcomes you want on that drive.

1) Turnover

2) sack

3) They score fast so we get the ball back with a lot of time and 3 timeouts to win the game

We chose the absolutely WORST possible scenario. We let them waltz down the field playing soft zone AND let them kill the clock in the process. If there was EVER a time to play aggressive with no consequence, it was on that drive. Ok, we play aggressive and get burnt on a long TD. Who cares, then we have the last possession to go win the game with 3 timeouts and  at least 1:30 left. Pisses me off just watching that video.

We hope for other teams to make a mistake, instead of forcing them to make a mistake. After Stafford's hand is clearly bothering him. I had come around on Evero a little this season, but damn. If you're scared when the game is on the line, GTFO.

Showed the rams final drive and how we played 10 yards off literally every WR and TE the rams had the entire drive.

Smh bring the heat at least if you lose it shows you tried

Yea it was almost like it was mandated for us to let them score

It was the most pussy way to go out.

And if you remember right, he did the EXACT same thing against the Saints. He had them playing like 10 yards off and let Olave (after doing nothing all game) catch 3 15+ passes and let the Saints waltz down the field to tie it up late in the 4th. He keeps doing the same sh*t expecting different results.

So you're saying the defense played great until the end of the game.

maybe they were tired? maybe player fatigue level impacts the kind of plays you call? Maybe there is a reason the panthers defense was so tired at the of the game? Maybe the Panthers don't have the skill or depth on defense to overcome a completely ineffective offense? Maybe these exact same circumstances are the only time that bryce looks like an average NFL QB?

nah. fire evero

Saints game was merely a small side note.

There is NO defending how Evero played the end of that Rams game. We picked the worst outcome. You don't play that far off when they have 3 timeouts and 2:20 left. You play aggressive and hope for a turnover/sack or quickly get burnt over the top, which still allows us PLENTY of time to win the game ourselves. You ain't preachin to nobody, I fuggin despise Bryce Young's sorry ass, that has nothing to do with Evero playing pussy ball to end a playoff game.

The panthers blitzed on 3 of the last seven plays. It was Rozeboom and you can argue he shouldn’t be on the field but still

the touchdown throw was a great throw great catch against good defense agains the boundary where the tight end also somehow defied the laws of physics. They practice too

this was after horn went out the series before and I think Cherelus but I can’t be sure

I just don’t understand what people expect in that situation. All out blitz every play? This isn’t madden.

you can argue we should have used timeouts, but a lot of that is based on where they are on the field. They scored from just outside the 20. Panthers call a timeout then the rams get to change their personnel. Panthers have the personnel advantage (in theory) in that situation, and you can make the argument you don’t want to give them a chance to change. the rams just made an insane play.

regardless, if you want more timeouts called, that’s on Canales, not evero.

    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
    • it's not so much this personal vendetta against the Carolina Panthers as it is more about Bryce Young never not once been in the same conversation with the top 15 or even top 20 Qbs in the NFL ..just saying
