Panthers advice film study of Evero’s coverage

There was a large handful of very talented coverage safties in free agency last year, and we had the cap space for them. We just actively decided to ride with Nick Scott.

Seems like we've always had some coach's pets that stick around and oftentimes even start even though they're obvious liabilities.

That happens everywhere but it does seem more obvious here.

I would say these instances are worse at the moment than normal, for that matter.

In the draft as well. Could have easily had Xavier Watts (who was a huddle favorite) instead of Princely.

Who the fug is this guy

4500 followers for 430+ followers?

poor bastard is jsut screaming into the void.

He is a young guy and just starting out

he does a good job and augments with tape

that is more than many do, nationally and locally

he is also fair and if he sees additional film that requires a redress to what he says, he does it

Real nfl player corvey irvin

I remember watching us play Dallas a few years later and whatever scrub we had at DT was getting abused badly, years after Jenkins was gone, and being really pissed.

I thought Gettleman was gonna be great after his first draft.

Found him last year.  He was less a Bryce apologist than a lot of the homers and he puts up all 22 video with the breakdowns. Which I like.
I am not religious about him but do check him out pretty regularly.

He is a Panthers fan and I like that he isn’t fanning too hard and isn’t too hyped. Some of the homers wear me out.

My feeling, and that’s all it is based on watching this team, is coaching and schemes do hold them back

seldom is anything new or inventive from either    We aren’t talking upper level coaches here

Timid is the adjective that comes to mind.  Canales seems to start games timidly and Evero ends them timidly

i get there isn’t all star personnel on this team.  I know the history   No need to revisit that

..but you have to let your players play and if they can’t, you have the wrong players.

what I’ve found in life is if you play not yo lose, you won’t win.  I don’t care what sport it is. ..or business

You have to take calculated risks, early and often in the nfl

When does Evero do anything that catches the other teams’ offenses  by surprise    It is the same looks over and over again.  Other teams watch films too

i feel Evero is kept because if Canales fails, or Young fails, Tepper will do a clean sweep of the organization in 2027 and their contracts

no matter who Evero has on staff, that conservatism is his personality

again just my opinion

we can talk all about Evero's scheme and/or lack of talent all we want, but wtf is nick Scott doing on this play?

    • Ridley Grieg was handed a 2-game suspension for his sucker punch on Sean Walker during the Ottawa series. First 2 regular season games for the 2026-2027 schedule.
    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
