Lee made all the right moves in the 4th and OT. I would’ve brought Kon in to end the game and for OT. I would’ve been wrong

I would’ve used the timeout on that inbounds before the turnover and Melo’s late foul but yeah otherwise I can’t blame Lee, the players just didn’t execute as well as they should have, but obviously did enough to get it done

I don’t see it as “benching” Kon.  This team plays 10-deep.  And they sub early and often.  Hell, Coby was a starter and one of the best players for the Bulls..and has expressed adamantly that he has no problem coming in late in the 1st quarter.

I like LaMelo off-ball with Coby and I think the current situation with Kon might be a good time to do it.

P.S. Coby jumping on Miles on the floor at the end of the game was a priceless Hornets moment.

Sure but it literally would be benching him lol, and it would kill his confidence. He’ll get back in a rhythm, kid just had an all time great rookie season and led the league in 3s, you gotta stick with him as starter. But yeah I’m all for getting some more lineups throughout the game with Coby and Melo

and yeah Miles’ block and Coby and others jumping him in celebration was fuging epic

I mean it was dirty, I hope they dont

When you look closely at the play it was careless from Melo but bang bang full speed I don’t think it was intentional or dirty or deserving of a foul. Bam’s off balance momentum was already carrying him towards a fall and even if Melo didn’t touch him it may have had the exact same outcome. And honestly I think he did try to sell it more when he felt LaMelo’s hand. Dudes arms flopped back instead of bracing for the fall. Sucks he got hurt but a suspension would be ridiculous and an awful look for the league. Fine and move on

I would be quite surprised if he got more than a fine.

Flopping has long been out of hand in the NBA. There were definitely some Heat players doing extra selling fouls.

LaMelo seems to be getting quite a bit of hate on social media for the Bam injury though. And it is fair to wonder how the next opponent might defend him going forward knowing what happened. I don't think we can just be homers and dismiss it entirely especially after all the complaints we've made about the Pistons in particular.

I think this group better be prepared for a very physical game on Friday.

Just saw Spoestra’s bitch ass took the opportunity in his post game presser to ask the NBA to discipline Melo for Bam’s injury after saying he should’ve been thrown out of the game.

What a crybaby, sore fuging loser.

Spoelstra is an overpaid twat who is still living off the LeBron glory years of the early 2010s.

I don't think it's a rhythm issue for Kon. I think his legs are gone. It's his first NBA season and he's played a ton of minutes and been super important to the team. I'm glad he keeps shooting but I think it's more tired legs than a slump. We will need him if we make the series against Detroit but I think reducing his minutes and playing white and williams more might be the answer.

Him crying like a bitch when melo finally got to the foul line and play had to be paused was a horrible look for him. Should have T'd him up. They got every call all night outside Ball's dirty play and you could argue Bam was about to step on Melos wrist when that happened too and it was more a get off me swipe then I'm trying to trip you. Bam sold it too because that's what the pussy ass heat players are taught to do and then they cry when it doesn't work

Melo apologized and said he had been hit on the head and didn't know where he was at.

So happy that LaMelo got the layup to go and *won* the game. How happy he was after the game, that's what a young dude like him needs to keep it going and keep the belief going. If we lose, LaMelo gets blamed, and he's got an offseason to be in his head and hear the noise like the last few years. The season might still have an ugly ending, but weirdly feels like last night was HUGE for this team moving forward.
