I think he quit many years ago. haha

I wonder why he really quit with 3.5 mil on the table to play one last year, and a family to look out for.

He was ‘okay’ with Wilks and heavy run emphasis.

We ate a good bit of money releasing him.

I do wonder a little what he would have looked like with 150 mil worth of guards flanking him, compared to whoever we had (who were so good I don’t even really remember their names). Probably no worse than Corbett.

During the Shrine Bowl, I mentioned Carolina Panthers lineman Cade Mays as a potential target for the Texans, and he fits the dynamic Caserio is looking for. Mays started at both center and guard for the Panthers, and his free-agent value is expected to be between $5 and $7 million annually.

Titans released C Lloyd Cushenberry.
Cushenberry was one of several marquee signings by the Titans from the 2024 offseason. He landed a four-year, $50 million deal after playing out his rookie deal with the Broncos. Much like most of their other moves from that spending spree, this one failed to pay off. Cushenberry was graded as a bottom-five center by Pro Football Focus in both of his seasons in Tennessee. He should still be able to land a starting job, though his next team will be paying him far less than the Titans did.

Missed 18 games in past 4 years. Bottom 5 center last year according to pff but it’s possible it’s also because of those around him and injuries?

I just feel like center is a position we could possibly fill with a no name. How many times have we seen a center come from no where and be a decent starter? It’s possible.

Fowler and Graziano: Some teams anticipate Panthers center Cade Mays could make $8 million per year on a new deal.

Heavy risk involved all around. For all the talk of left tackle. The middle of our oline and center specifically was horrific just a few years ago. Led to much whailing and hand wringing. People are quick to forget.

We are 100% drafting a C to start. (Jones, Hecht, Law, Slaughter) I'm sure it's been Dan Morgan's plan all along. I find it smart because it's an EXTREMELY strong center draft. I'm glad Morgan recognizes that. You can't keep everyone in a salary cap world. Also, let's stop pretending that Cade Mayes was an "all world" center. He was solid, but not great. Let some other team give him 8-9 mill a year

Who calls it a strong C draft? I heard the opposite so curious. I can’t cite a source and you don’t have t just asking if there is one or if that is your opinion.

I do think that if teams get Mayes and stick him in between weak guards they may regret it. And think ours will benefit a guy.

It was bad enough that an all time bad QB performance was excused by it.

I think they will address C adequately, and am more worried about LOT.

Daniel Jeremiah was talking about the depth at center during the OL workouts. I've heard it a few other times as well while listening to draft podcasts. There isn't a Tyler Linderbaum level prospect, but a lot of good 3-5th round centers.
