All I really know is I am about out on Wallace, he can stay as a backup.

I miss the days of AJ Klein being being able to go elsewhere and start, but was a backup here.

Wallace doesn’t do anything. His mic’ed up, the MF was never near the ball. He’s really bad.

Yeah, I was hoping to see significant improvement in Wallace this year. I'm pretty much always willing to give rookies a pass - especially a mid-rounder forced into a significant role put of the gate. Just show me some flashes and reason to hope there's something to build on. But when you still look like a week one rookie at the end of year two... ehhhhh... makes me wonder if there's anything there to continue to invest in. Going into year two in looking for more than flashes, I'm wanting to see some consistency and reliability and definitely by the end of year two. I just never saw it. He still looked like a rookie throughout.

It seems weird to do that but one of my favorite drafts was Star and Short.
Morgan double dipped in FA with the guards.
Attack that poo Dan.

Realistically, a quality vet FA that is totally up to speed, like Lloyd, and a young sidekick is probably a better plan but I wouldn’t complain if we drafted two.

I loved Star and Short probably just as much as Luke and TD. I would not mind if Morgan went full hog Molly this draft.

I'd be all for taking two LBs in this draft.

The Jets traded JJII to the Titans for Sweat.

I could see them double-dipping now with 3-4 type EDGE/backers at 2 and 16. Could we see a Reese/Styles reunion in NY? That would be an immense shift for that D with Sweat dominating the middle of the DL and those two former teammates wreaking havoc in an odd front.

I wouldn't go that far simply because I think we need to sign a decent vet too. Sign a decent vet and draft three and you're standing a pretty good chance of cutting a draft pick.

I’m on the sign Matt Milano and draft Anthony Hill Jr train. Our identity is good LB play. Make it happen.

Lots of great, athletic LBs that could easily be taken at the bottom of round one or early to mid round 2.

Anthony Hill Jr., Jake Golday, and Jacob Rodriguez all made some money today.

I was hoping Golday might fall to the 3rd for us with an average combine, but doesn't look like that's gonna happen now.

Yeah I like Golday. I think his best fit, unfortunately for us, is as a SAM in a 4-3. Kind of like a Chad Greenway.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
