how does something sink when it's already on the bottom of the ocean

There is the Norfolk Canyon bottom, and then there is the Mariana Trench.

But whatever, I just wanted them to remove the big excuses of a bad OL like we saw happen after 2023. They have given this kid or tried to give him everything you could ask for.

We don’t need to be feeling like we need yet another year of wait and see after 2026. We need to see, now.

He is the face of this franchise whether you care to admit it or not.

that's a marketing a choice. I wouldn't argue that.

He's undoubtedly the most replaceable player on the offense. That's the opposite of "franchise."

unless franchise just means to you the guy they trot out for fluff interviews

the people preaching wait and see are not arguing in good faith but i guess we shouldn't be talking about that player in this thread so i apologize for that

Good signing by the Panthers to take advantage of the market dropping out on Packers LT Rasheed Walker. Gives them a very high-end insurance policy for Ickey Ekwonu, who's not a sure thing to be back for Week 1, as  he rehabs a torn patellar tendon.

Wow he actually pretends to consider week 1 for Icky as realistic?  That is highly questionable judgement right there.

Would love to know what the expectation/plan is for Icky. I'm glad we're not counting on him to return to form. Potential switch to RT to replace Moton long-term?

It certainly gives you options. Walker is by reputation pretty good against speed rushers, something Icky sometimes struggled with.

I saw something a couple of pages back I really had to restrain myself from replying to, on that front.

I typed paragraphs of rebuttal stuff and did not hit send.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
