I believe Rod doesn't care about PP and is okay with it being horrible. Hasn't changed in the 8 years he has been our coach. Like they didn't even look like they were ever trying to score just wasting time and getting to the interval.

I don't understand how standing around passing is supposed to accomplish anything.  You need to give defenders a reason to be out of position.  Just throwing it at the net is better than what we're doing.

Feels like they have gone into prevent defense. Montreal spent a lot of time in our zone this period and it seemed like we weren't even trying to score.

Oh they have. But it won’t matter. Canes are full on Florida mode

After a slow start Canes were 4th in the NHL at 24.9%in the regular season. I get the teams are tougher in the playoffs but the PP has been dismal.

Canes just looked tired on the PP, time on ice may have been a factor.

Both breakways we have had really poor shot selection. Our players know you can shoot over the goalie right?
