Yas: Shockey stands up for Richardson

One question I’ve heard from a lot of readers in recent weeks is how future free agents might view Carolina owner Jerry Richardson after he’s taken a hard-line stance throughout the labor talks.

There have been some reports that Richardson insulted Peyton Manning in a meeting the day before the Super Bowl. Richardson and Manning have been silent about that and New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, who was in the room at the time, said the reports were overblown.

Either way, let’s address the question on the minds of many Carolina fans about Richardson and if players will want to play for him in the future. Let’s turn to the best and most recent indication.

Really guys? A guy that no one else wanted and we happened to sign has good things to say about the 1, repeat ONE, guy that gave him a chance?

You guys are using this as some form of evidence one way or another?

Not taking a side here because I don't care either way but that's like saying Newton's QB coach says he is the best so we should definitely draft him #1.

I'm just saying. Like Shockey would get his last chance with a team when no one else wanted him and come out and say "JR really is a duesch and hates the players"

People need to use their heads.

This same logic was used when people cited Cam's paid personal QB coach when compliments came out about him. Or when they cited Cam's mentors.

Or when Weiss spoke highly of Clausen.

Fug, just fug

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
