Private Gabbert Workout Scheduled

That's because they're both idiots.

They're not draft experts, but they're no fools either. They just need to stick to what they're good at. Schefter surprisingly, seems to be the only talking head that has any idea about the strengths/weaknesses of our team. All the rest of them seem to think that DE is a huge hole and just have no idea in general.

I don't think the majority of QB guys are against Gabbert at all. We might prefer Cam Newton over Gabbert but I am just happy we are doing our due diligence on ALL the QBs

I am. I've been saying from day 1 that I think Gabbert is garbage and I don't want him anywhere near this team.

Yeah and I've got a question about that.

I took a look at his page, and if I'm doing the math right, his "time to go to bed, 6am will come early" tweet was posted somewhere midway between 3 and 4am.

You're getting up at 6am to go to a workout for an NFL team that could mean the opportunity of a lifetime. Why are you still up and tweeting at that hour of the night? :sosp:

I know it's Friday night, he's a kid and I'm a grumpy old man. And yes, it sounds like the workout went pretty well. Still...

Ever have trouble sleeping on Christmas Eve as a kid? NFL players have toruble sleeping before big games - I can see how he could be a bit worked up the night before a workout like this. Also, maybe he's just one of those freak people that only need like 4 hrs a night... I know I'm not, but they do exist.

I get that. Still bothers me though.

Shows to me it was posted at midnight...

He tweeted he was going to bed 14 hours ago. That doesn't add up to 3 and 4 am. You factor in he is on Central Time, that's 11PM. Why rag on a guy for something so tiny as this and you weren't even correct? C'mon now...

Because his tweet that he was going to bed was timed as 10 hours ago when I read it at 1:40pm, which would have put it at about 3:40am. Even if you factor in time differences, that's still up pretty late before an important morning.

It bothers me. No, I wouldn't take him off my draft board just for that, but then it's already known I don't want a QB anyway.

    • How we weren't willing to roll the dice on Wilson but were on Brooks remains a mystery.

    • Wide Receiver: Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers – 85.3 One of the more shocking developments of the 2025 NFL season has been the Carolina Panthers’ ascension to the top of the NFC South, which they achieved with Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers. Perhaps nobody has made a bigger difference than former eighth overall pick Tetairoa McMillan, who continued to be a steady presence in the Panthers’ offense. McMillan caught six passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in the win Tight End: Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers – 91.1 Evans only saw the field for 16 snaps, but he was efficient in his limited playing time. He caught all three of his targets for 23 yards on just six receiving snaps while also grading well in pass protection (72.2 grade) and as a run-blocker (68.4) Edge Defender: Nic Scourton, Carolina Panthers – 77.9 The former second-rounder out of Texas A&M has been a force along the Panthers’ defensive line, and he was a key contributor in Carolina’s huge win over the Buccaneers. Scourton recorded two stops as a run-defender and added another while in coverage. Scourton also tallied his sixth sack of the year while contributing another pressure to the mix Safety: Lathan Ransom, Carolina Panthers – 75.7 Another Carolina Panther on this week’s list, Ransom has typically been stronger in run defense — he carries an 85.2 grade in that field on the season. But Sunday against the Buccaneers was his best day in coverage. Ransom intercepted his only target, which wound up being the game-winner that put the Panthers in the driver’s seat in the NFC South
