AT&T purchases T-Mobile

This is good news is the more I think about it I have a shitty contract that I have with TMobile and not with AT$T so when I was with whoever and TMOBILE bought us I had the option of getting out of my contract.

I need a new Droid and have a total of 3 phones and I pay around $170 a month so I'm sure AT$T can beat that or someone else can.

Fwiw, I like ATT's service in all aspects (cellphone, Internet, landline). But I picked ATT because they have a tower about 300 yards from my house, so I should get good cell service. :)

Unless you need the Sunday ticket, you might want to check out U-verse if it's available in your area.

I heard on NPR this morning that it still needs to be approved. It's not a done deal yet.

Hmmm, I got no such notice. Could it be a regional thing?

I got a notice as well but it did mention it'll only apply to people that can monitor their usage. So I'm guessing not everyone has that capability but will eventually.

I was wondering if its because I bought the highest speed internet access available (and most expensive) they have. Perhaps the limits only apply to the less expensive options?

For about $160 I get one of their fastest internet packages, all the premium channels, HD, DVR, and on demand. They also don't lock you in a contract so if they are offering a deal for new customers you can call and try and get the same deal. I haven't done this yet, but it was something they mentioned when I signed up.

problem with u verse is that its not easily attainable. Who knows when it will be available in my area.
