Why can't we sign him?

We signed Shockey when we supposedly weren't signing anyone, right?

He was drafted at the age of 19...was the youngest person drafted in the history of the NFL. I recall he was only allowed to enter so young because he graduated from Louisville in like 2 years.

Also he went to college earlier because he came here with his family when he was young and he tested into high school.

And I think he is still on the roster. I can't find anything about him being released. They would probably try and trade him to pick up a late round pick once there is a CBA.

Yea I think I heard they want to trade him.Certainly someone we would want to look at. He does not fit there 3-4 scheme. He is young and has a big upside in my opinion....just not sure what they will be looking to get out of him.

Seems like the most logical FA DT if we were to draft a QB.

Kid is probably just coming into his own. I keep saying this but it takes years for most DT's to become really good. He is probably hitting that mark. Pick him up for an immediate upgrade, draft a QB first and 2 DT's in the 3rd to develop.
