Did Nawrocki cross the line?

Why do you think he would be afraid to lie on the air?

All Hurney saying that shows is that the Panthers aren't the one that leaked that info. Multiple others have, but it may just be an attempt to get Newton to fall down the board to them.

I don't think you lie unless u have to. And usually when you lie you do it in the form of a leak or off the record or through someone else. Rarely do you see people out and out lie on the record.

You are more than likely right, but I'd have to see his exact wording. Maybe it's because I grew up around lawyers, but there are a million and a half ways to lie on the record without it quite being lying... deception is pretty big.

No doubt. I grew up around lawyers and (even worse in this regard) law makers. So there are 1000 ways to lie without lying. :p.

I have Cam colored glasses so I might be hearing what I want to hear but I am not buying it being a smoke screen. But it certainly could be.

This is why no one listens to you :D

Peter King weighs in:

For those that don't understand twitter: Mattb625 asked Peter King if he agreed with Nawrocki on Cam. Peter King said he's heard the same but does not know for sure.

Suggests that rumors are indeed out there among the "connected" guys but who knows how legit they are.

If I was a GM/decision maker and wanted to see Cam fall to me, I might play into some of this by "leaking" to "connected" people for the chance...

You always seems to miss the point. Some folks thought he was a first or second rounder and the point was that his legal issues were not documented and discussed like Newton.

Haven't looked at the Manning - Leaf one and maybe I will later but there is absolutely no way anyone thought Colt Brennan was a first or second rounder.

Absolutely no way in hell.

I heard Hurney said this morning that this report was bull poo and he has better resources and access to NFL scouts than Nawrocki does. If true just further throws Nawrocki's credibility in the crapper.

Actually what Hurney said was that he hadn't heard it, not that it wasn't true.

And would he lie on the air? With the stakes where they are now? You're kidding, right?
