Reduced season or no season

For those who are willing to accept a partial season, how many games would you be willing to take?

To put it another way, how many games would have to be lost before you'd say "screw it, just forget the whole thing"?

If there was only one game, I'd watch it. I don't think they are going to ask me though.

I'd sooner take a partial season with all pros over no season or a partial season with scrubs!

as for the super bowl argument...I honestly wouldn't give a poo how my team won it, as long as they win it!

The loss of the season would have very little effect on Charlotte's economy. People aren't going to not spend money because the games aren't played, they'll just spend it on different things - restaurants, movies, shopping, whatever.

The only real economic losers in the lockout will be the players and owners, because I guarantee interest will not be the same after as it is right now.

Actually I know many police officers that use the games as off duty pay that will be hurting. :(

saw an article about how much money the chicken industry would lose without football....wings is a multi million dollar industry and sales directly because of football is huge.

there's a load of examples of what all hurts if football is cancelled.

The chicken wing industry may lose, but some other industry would gain. In the end, it evens out.

That's a bummer for the chicken wing industry, but we don't play pro football in order to boost demand for the chicken wing industry.

That does suck for them, but in the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal, even for those officers.

The original point I was responding to was that losing the games would hurt Charlotte's economy, which it won't.

And if games are lost, then will they re-do the schedule? Or do you think that the potential for lost games will impact how they do the schedule? Such have the not-as-meaningful games first so that conference games are later in the season.

A partial season is better than none. I doubt it will extend into the regular seaso. In fact I think it will be resolved before the preseason is over. I doubt the players or the owners will let it get that far. After seeing what happened to hockey and baseball, they would be fools to kill the golden goose.

I think they should do a 32 team playoff for the championship based on how the teams finished last year.

First round game is the Green Bay Packers Vs. the Carolina Panthers!

Or we could do a playoff with division taken into account and have a showdown between the Panthers and Falcons in the first round.
