Thought it was a good episode. Just setting the table.

No Whitebeard though . The Barristan Selmy reveal to Dany and Ser Jorah is better in the book; but I get why they did it this way for TV.

Yeah since we already KNOW what he looks like, I don't mind the reveal. It's better this way instead of insulting our intelligence for episode after episode like we don't know who he really is.

Really good episode. I can understand why non-book readers might have found it slow. Characters needed to be revisited and story lines reestablished.

Next episode will probably be much of the same with Arya, Theon and Jaime.

I knew a lot of book folks wouldn't like that one... but I think it is minor enough that it won't matter...

I do hope we somehow still get Sam the Slayer at some point...

Thoughts last night, I don't like how they Protrayed Sam not sending the crows, which he did send in the book, just forgot to add the final message to them when they realized that they were walkers.

Also I do not like the elimination of Strong Belwas, I liked his character if nothing else then for his comedic relief.

I think they felt Belwas was minor enough to cut at this point...

I also think there is the possibility that he is brought in later...
