there was a lot of cheese in this episode that got drowned out by the goodness.

 

when the army was approaching the wall, it looked like a bunch of ASU frat boys going to a kegger down the street in a bad 70s film

 

the giant taking the guy out with an arrow straight to the chest...so much wrong with that sequence, but whatever, i still laughed when he flew off the wall

The Ice Spike was a nice addition.  I don't remember that from the books, but it was awesome to watch.
