Mallet has a late night; skips his meeting with Panthers

Most people have said it's not true, but it's way more fun to believe it is true than to think rationally about it

Kind of like the "rational" idea that Cam is lazy and will be Jamarcus Russell despite a lack of evidence, amirite?

Sounds like a hotel party to me, if he was done by 10pm. If pictures don't pop up, he wasn't out. Plus he did show up the next morning. They should be able to tell if he was sick or 'sick'.

Carroll said Mallett met with Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski the next morning but was too sick to go on with any other meetings.

So if he was ill to the point of throwing up so he couldn't meet with the Panthers, why did he not see a doctor. It isn't like the Panthers don't have a bunch available. If he was so ill suddenly and it wasn't food poisoning or something else, I would think he would have been checked out by someone. If his agent was so concerned and knew where he was all the time, then why not get him checked out. Must have been pretty bad to cancel all the interviews.

Sounds kind of fishy to me.

Haven't heard that all all. Sounds like you are making things up like usual, which is your version of logic.

He dropped out of Florida instead of facing the punishment and the hard road back to good standing with the school.

He was also 3rd behind Brantley on the depth chart and instead of earning his job he quit.

Easy way.

Not at all the way it is being portrayed. Stick to the more damning portrayal that he left because he cheated on tests and was going to be expelled. He chose to transfer to a junior college which by any accounts is the hard road back and was certainly humbling for a guy from Florida to Binn Community college. It was a do over which was anything but easy.

In fact the argument could be easily made that qutting would be the easy way out, he took the much harder road and rode it all the way to the national championship.

No, the hard road would have been missing football, not cheating anymore and getting back into good standing with his school then earning his spot in the lineup on the football team.

He couldn't do either so decided to high school football for another year. He took the easy way.

He also knew he couldn't beat our Brantley and didn't want to try.

Brad Biggs is a pretty good reporter, so I tend to buy what he writes.

With that said, even good reporters can have bad sources.

No one disputes the basic facts of what happened. Guess the question would be did it happen because he was sick or hung over.

You're not alone on that.
