Anyone else find it hard to believe we have this big douche on our team? It's surreal to me. I guess he's better than "Extra Tackle" Jeff King though.

I mean don't get me wrong I like having his talent on the team but after years of watching him with the Giants it's just weird that we have this high profile guy here.

the ONLY knock I have on Shockey is him being injury prone..

I don't know why you all give such a fug about how perfect someone's character is.. there are some not-so-decent people playing football, and contribute in a HUGE way to their team.

also, I'm not sure why you all are so quick to down a person who you have no real evidence persuading you to feel as you do.

key points to judge a player and his success with a team:

1) can he stay healthy?

2) what is his work ethic?

3) what are his talents and how much of ceiling does he have?

4) if lucky, can he provide some leadership?

5) can he stay healthy?

6) what is his work ethic?

notice "does he open the door for YOU women and does he help clean the sand out of your vagina?" is not on the list...

      I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

      Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
