The official NFL combine site following Saturday’s session rated Williams a "top performer" in the 20-yard shuttle, 3-cone drill and bench press...

Williams started all 12 games this past season and earned the Mike Utley Award at the postseason banquet, given to the top Cougar o-lineman. A junior college transfer who redshirted his first season at WSU in 2008, Williams started 19 games in his Cougar career, missing four to injury.

Ok here we go:

Notes: Played center at Glendale (Ariz.) Community College from 2006-07. Moved to guard and redshirted with the Cougars in ’08. Played eight games in ’09, starting seven at left guard (non-start came on Senior Night). Sustained a high ankle sprain against Hawaii early in the season and missed four games. Moved to center in ’10 and started all 12 games.

Positives: Outstanding size and girth to anchor and hold the line against big bodies. Flashes some aggression in the run game. Shows pop in his punch. Versatile — has played inside and outside.

Negatives: Top-heavy and tends to bend at the waist and slip off blocks. Appeared very stiff and rigid at the East-West Shrine Game. Struggles to reach the block point on the second level. Needs to improve his functional lower-body strength. Immature early in his career.

Summary: Thick-bodied, long-armed, versatile interior player most ideally suited for a role as a swing backup.

NFL projection: Priority free agent.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
